At the beginning of the project, we laid out all of the steps and actions that we needed to take. A compilation of those plans turned into our Gantt Chart. This tool was essential to keeping us organized and reminding us of our timelines. We used Excel and Google Sheets to create this chart and assigned different roles based on our skill sets. The Gantt chart is an overview, and we go into more depth about the tasks for each section and how the team will complete them.
Team Norms
Standard Methods of Communication
We decided on one method of communication besides talking in class
We use iMessage texts to talk about the project and update each other
Communication and Work Schedule
Team members will agree to work in the shared workspaces every day in class to collaborate on work. Team leaders will take note of participation and report to Mr. Davis.
Team members agree to communicate about any concerns through text when not in class together. Team Leader will communicate with Mr. Davis and will report any team members who are uncooperative.
Team members will agree to abide by the schedule of assignments as documented by the team Gantt chart.
Team members will agree to use all class time given for this project to its greatest benefit.
If time is an issue, Team members agree to work on weekends and/or after school when deemed necessary.
File Management Structure
We created a Microsoft Teams to share our documents and created separate files for each component
Under each component, we have files for each element and the documents are inside
We use Autodesk 2022, Office 365, and Google Drive
Process for Making Decisions
Respect everyone’s ideas even if you don’t agree with them.
Discuss the pros and cons of the design decision.
Vote on whether to move forward with the decision.
If a tie occurs, try negotiating other ideas, and make compromises.
If all else fails, ask Mr. Davis, our advisor, for assistance.
Process for Getting Through Conflict
Team members will first try to settle the dispute between each other and seek compromises.
If a problem escalates, other team members will attempt to break up the conflict and force compromises.
If the problem persists, then the team will communicate with Mr. Davis about the problem.
Accountability
Team members will stay on track with the Gantt Chart, and if someone falls behind, then other team members will hold them accountable and help them catch up.
Team members agree to complete weekly evaluations and submit them to Mr. Davis for review .
Team members will offer help if needed and team members will ask for help if needed.
