Scorpion is the alias of Hanzo Hasashi, a great ninja warrior of the Shirai Ryu clan and a loving family man, who risen from the dead as a revenant to avenge the murder of his family clan by the rival Lin Quai clan, led by Sub Zero and manipulated by Quan Chi. Scorpion signature weapon is the kunai, connected to a metal chain or thick rope. Scorpion can generate kunais and control their flying movement. He is immortal and can summon and control hellfire. In addition, he can teleport himself by will. Scorpion is fueled by rage and motivated by revenge, but is good deep inside, and in the end, he helps Earth Realm to defend itself against Outworld.

"Arc of a Scythe" is a trilogy of novels ("Scythe", "Thunderhead", and "The Toll") by Neal Shusterman, which deals with the questions of life, death, and meaning while weaving a thrilling and exciting plot.

Set in the not-so-far future on Earth, it seems that humanity has achieved utopia. Our story begins when the honorable Scythe Faraday takes two teenagers - Citra Terranova and Rowan Damisch - as apprentices, amidst a rift in the Scythedom that threatens humanity. The trilogy follows the struggle of Citra and Rowan, with the help of Scythe Faraday and Scythe Curie, against the New Order led by Scythe Goddard, who believes Scythes should enjoy the work of killing and live a life of luxury.
