The Marble Haven
Geirdin was founded by Leodran sailors who sought freedom from the empire. The land of Lagir has little cultivatable land, so ranching and foraging became the primary source of food. When the forests were in danger of being cleared completely, the Emperor of Geirdin decreed that deforestation within the great wall would be strictly regulated. Thus the forest endured. Geirdin is connected to it's twin empire Leodra by The Link, a 60 mile bridge spanning the sea. They are defensive allies that share lucrative trade agreements. Geirdin is famous for its masons and other crafters. The Mountains of Want offer the largest supply of marble in the world, which has become one of Geirdin's primary exports.
Brawas is known as the birthplace of the Lagir alcoholic beverage, as well as a a wide variety of craft breweries. The fighting pits often host matches with fighters drunk on Lagir versus fighters high on Raid.
