The track power wires are soldered to the underside of the rail. Like many railway modellers out there, red and black wires are predominantly used, with red for the front most tracks and "black to the back".
There is no wiring diagram for the layout, the wiring design is (unfortunately) only in my head.
However the following rules are applied.
Each track piece shall be powered.
All sections of the track can be isolated, apart from the branch line. Sections have one or more bus bars for the common wires.
The branch line can receive power from either the walkabout controller, a source from the left end, or a source from the right end. The rotary selection switch also has an "Off" position, although that may change to a secondary controller at some point.
Electro-frog points have the frog powered via the slide switch which also controls the rod in tube point blade movement. these switches also power the point direction indicator lights in the control panel.
