Although there is still much to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how to prevent and mitigate their effects, we also all know that childhood experiences are not limited to those that involve adversity. In the last few years, researchers have started to examine the impacts of positive childhood experiences (PCEs) on children, youth, and adults.

Child and Youth Resilience Measure (CYRM-R)

The CYRM is designed as a screening tool to explore the resources (individual, relational, communal and cultural) available to children and youth aged 5 to 23 years old, that may bolster their resilience.

Compendium of Strengths-Based Tools

Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)

The SDQ is a screening tool for measuring psychological adjustment in children or youth (2-17 year olds) and aims to detect any emotional or behavioral problems. It is available in more than 80 languages and is one of the most widely used tools for measuring child mental health.
