PREMISE
You are organizing a feast this evening and you have nothing in your pantry! You need to go to the market to buy some food to create a perfect dinner! What's more picturesque than a French market? You have menus to cook and you must manage your resources to buy the ingredients necessary to prepare them. Fortunately, public transportation and minimum universal income help you achieve your goals.
ENGLISH
👥 4 to 6 Players ⏱️30 to 40 minutes
Matériel de jeu:
12 six-sided dice
Score sheet
Dice-drafting board
8 chits
At least one pen, preferably a pen per player
The first player starts by checking the leftmost available square in their turn counter (see game setup to see how to select the first player).
Then they roll the 12 dice and organize them from the highest roll on money to the lowest on metro tickets. The rest of the dice are allocated on the board according to the roll as follows:
Turn progression
The player who rolls the dice drafts the group of dice they want first and does the corresponding action. The player can then acquire Shopping Tools. Each player proceeds in the same way clockwise. After each complete turn, each player receives the basic universal income: 1 coin + 1 metro ticket.
When a player chooses “money” or “metro tickets” they receive as many coins or metro tickets as the number of dice on those squares. In the previous example, 3 coins or 2 metro tickets. They circle the number of symbols on their score sheet accordingly.
Buying Foods
When a player chooses the dice corresponding to a particular vendor (Wine cellar, Cheese vendor, Pasty chef, Butcher), they can buy as many items as there were dice on the square.
To buy the item, the player must pay 1, 2, or 3 euros depending on the price on top of the item (e.g., macarons = 3 euros). The player must also pay a metro ticket to move his chit properly to the vendor on the metro map. At the end of the game the player will receive the number of points above the item (e.g., macarons = 7 points)
Place the dice-drafting board at the center of the table
Give each person a score sheet and a pen
Use the chits to navigate the map
The first player is the last person who ate a croissant.
