Hormuridae Laurie, 1896

The Hormuridae family is represented by 11 genus and 90 species, generally, they are not of medical importance, however, some species are considered of ecological interest and classified as very low toxicity for mammals, whose populations generally inhabit crevices and refuges in rainforests.
