First record of the genus Semiopyla Simon, 1901 (Araneae: Salticidae: Sitticini) From Colombia, this study reports for the first time the presence of the jumping spider S. cataphracta Simon, 1901 in Colombia, found in mangrove forests in the southern Gulf of Morrosquillo. Specimens were collected through leaf litter sampling and manual collection. The work also presents updated distribution maps and ecological observations of the species in its habitat, as indicated by L. Suarez-Martinez; K.S. Gallego-Lengua; L.F. Hoyos-Figueroa and J. A. Quirós-Rodríguez.

Size structure and sex ratio of Ammotrechella manggi in the mangrove forest of the south of Morrosquillo Gulf, Apparently it has a univoltine cycle and gregarious behaviour. The reproduction periods suggest that its selective strategy linked to reproduction is adjusted to the climatic seasons of the mangrove forests and the exclusivity of A. manggi in the microhabitats where it develops, as indicated by M. Acosta-Berrocal.

A new species of jumping spider of the genus Ceriomura Simon 1901 from the Colombian Caribbean, A new salticid species of the genus Ceriomura Simon 1901 is described as C. momilensis found in the dry forest of the Córdoba department in northwestern Colombia, as indicated by L. Suarez-Martinez.

Ecological aspects of Ammotrechella manggi in mangrove forests in the southern Gulf of Morrosquillo, "its abundance in the evaluated mangrove forest fragments may be influenced by precipitation, altitude and crustal moisture". Similarly, the mangrove forest fragments offer the conditions and resources for the occurrence of A. manggi populations, determined by the availability of microhabitats that provide protection, refuges, and nesting sites, as indicated by M. Acosta-Berrocal.
