Pseudoscorpions are small arachnids, which vary in length between 0.5 and 10.0 mm, they inhabit all terrestrial ecosystems, except in polar areas, they are relatively more abundant in the tropics and subtropics, while some species exhibit a circumpolar distribution.

Pseudoscorpion species thrive in leaf litter, under rocks, under decaying tree bark and trunks, and in forests in tropical and temperate regions, as well as intertidal microhabitats, they are associated with many microhabitats such as guano de bat, ant and bee nests and different parts of plants and are known to take refuge in the nests of birds, insects and mammals .
