Progression is at the centre of everything we do in MapleStory. It's about reward for the work that you put in, so we've added a large number of new layers to progression! And finding the items you need are scattered through different methods, from hunting mobs, to collecting items for Maker, to bossing and completing unique PQ's & expeditions.
Let's give you a quick comparison. In traditional MapleStory, this is generally what item progression looks like by level bracket:
(start) level 10 > 20 > 30 ... 90 > 100 > 110 > 120 (end)
In Castela, there's LOADS more options to keep you continually improving:
(start) level 10 > 20 > 30 ... 90 > 100 > 110 > 120 > 130 > 140 > 150 > 160 > 170 > 190 > 210 > 230 > 240 (end)
Let's delve into it a bit further so you know where and when you need to upgrade! Something important to note - secondary stats are vital. You'll need them for all items aside from Maple items (levels 35, 43 & 64).
That's right! We've built our own version of item sets for some exclusive weapons and armor that players can collect.Â
You can have more than 1 set active at a time (i.e. you can be getting the benefits of a PQ item set and Timeless set at the same time), so there's lots of opportunity to maximise your stats.
Here are the current item sets we have in-game:
Timeless set
Von Leon set
Empress set
Absolab set
PQ sets (tier 1, 2 and 3)
Astaroth set
Dojo set
Zakum set
Horntail set
Reverse set
Spiegelmann set
