Shelly Berkowitz

ARTIST STATEMENT/BIO 

Shelly creates artwork from simple illustrations to large scale murals and signs. Her most frequent mediums are graphite and ink, digital art, painting, and the occasional sculpture. A lot of big mural ideas start with a small sketch so she has stacks of journals filled with ideas. Many have been drawn out with detail and painted.

She has studied art and art education at the University of Iowa. Since graduating in 2014, she has taught all ages in many settings. She will help you learn techniques to grow your artistic aspirations in many directions. Shelly taught Graphite and Ink Drawing and Charcoal Drawing classes for Brick Street Gallery.
