ARTIST STATEMENT/BIO
Clare grew up in northern Wisconsin on Lake Superior. She loves nature.
Clare took classes with Karel Cline and now meets/hosts weekly artist meetings with a group that began with Karel after the initial WLAAC classes taught by Karel ended.
The gatherings sometimes produce great art with the opportunity to critique each other, and other times they meet to just do "art therapy".
Clare is a member of the Brick Street Gallery committee and does some of the behind the scene work supporting the gallery. She is also our Wednesday afternoon host at the gallery and a board member for the West Liberty Area Arts Council.
Watercolor is the medium Clare uses most often, but she has tried a variety of media including collage, gouache, acrylic, and ink.
