The BwB Journal 2024
This is the fifth edition of the BwB Journal. From 2024, one edition per year will be published on the BwB website, most likely in the autumn.
My thanks go to all who have contributed articles.
In this edition five articles appear. No particular overall theme emerges, and they make for some wide-ranging reading - from mathematical formulae to trip accounts. I am pleased to note that a new BwB member has taken up the challenge and written a piece for the opinion column for this edition. It is a defence of the use of mechanical means to reach the top, in response to the thoughtful piece provided by Richard Harbron (see here) in the August 2023 edition of this Journal.
As I wrote in my 2023 Report (see here) Baggers without Borders has now expanded into a worldwide peak-baggers' virtual club. With an ever-increasing membership, the work to maintain and enhance it has grown also. If it is to survive, it needs to move into a club-structure to ensure more long-term continuity. The panel of HoFMeisters now form the central group within BwB, but we do need to get even more people involved, even if only with a small contribution of your time.
I am still looking for someone to take over as editor of the BwB Journal. It's not a big job for the right person, especially if a group of sub-editors could volunteer to assist. The job entails calling for and receiving articles, editing them for readability of our international readership, and doing the web-publishing here on this website. If you are interested in helping, please contact the BwB HoFClerk at the email address given on the home page of the website.
Watch out for the 2024 Newsletter, most likely in October. It will contain a round-up of BwB news for the year but also, for this year, some important announcements about gathering the data for the 2025 peak-baggers' totals and the presentation of the annual Tables.
