Aerospatiale was a French aerospace manufacturer known originally as Société nationale industrielle aérospatiale (SNIAS).
Status: The company merged it's helicopter division with that of DaimlerBenz Aerospace AG (DASA) in1992, to form the Eurocopter Group.
