Founded in 1966, when Morane-Saulnier changed its name
SOCATA (Societe de Construction d'Avions de Tourisme et d'Affaires) is a French aircraft manufacturer that was, from 2000, a wholly owned subsidiary of EADS until Daher acquired the majority stake in 2009. As well as producing their own aircraft, currently the TBM850, they also provide aircraft structures for manufacturers like Airbus, Dassault, Embraer, Eurocopter and Lockheed Martin.
