1969: Changed name to Grumman Aerospace Corporation, following works on the lunar manned spacecraft projects
1972: Grumman acquires the American Aviation Corporation as its light aircraft division, Grumman-American Aviation Corporation
1973: Grumman-American division sold to American Jet Industries to become Gulfstream-American.
1994: Grumman is acquired by the Northrop Corporation to form Northrop Grumman.
