Jurca Aircraft were named after their designer Marcel Jurca. Born in Hungary in 1923, he moved to France where he started aircraft designs for homebuild aircraft including notably the Jurca MJ-2 Tempete and the Sirocco. He was also famed for his mini-squadron of small scale replica warbirds, for which plans were also made for homebuilds. He died in 2001.
