Do the quiz below to assess your understanding of the different types of validity commonly discussed based on the video.
Apply your understanding of different types of validity. Read the case scenarios in the quiz and identify the type of validity that is of concern.
Some questions to ask when considering reliability include:
Will the assessment produce similar or comparable outcomes when a student takes the same test repeatedly over time (assuming that no new learning takes place in between tests)?
Are there discrepancies in grades or test scores obtained when two or more markers grade the same student on the same assessment task?
How will the reliability of the assessment change when the mode of assessment used changes, such as, from multiple choice questions to free-response format?

Some questions to ask when evaluating fairness include:
Are the learning targets and assessment criteria made clear to all students?
Are there sources of bias in the test questions which could distort the results for certain subgroups of the population taking the test?
Is the test administered under standard conditions such that no student is unfairly advantaged or disadvantaged?
