They're thinking what I can get for myself, and it's a shame but it's the way our world seems to be, you know, people. Not everyone, not everyone, you know, but I was just talking to a friend of mine yesterday, David, um, from Europe. He was from Europe. And he was he's just shocked at how much we what we do in America how much we buy how much we spend what we're doing. It's so wasteful, we buy we throw we buy we throw, and like, you know, what is she going to do with more money? What is she gonna buy with it? What is she gonna throw out with it?

Unknown Speaker 12:44

Yeah, I remember years ago. Yeah. And then some guys picked them up formed the band called Robert Bradley's Blackwater surprise. And then they toured the country. They had some good hits, and then they kind of faded away.

Unknown Speaker 13:01

Yeah, but it was a guy that got a name for that. It's called one night. I forget how that one hit.

Unknown Speaker 13:12

Wonder. One night? Yeah, one hit wonders. Paul Webb. He tried to write a song on it. And that's that's, that's I think eight somewhere related down the line. He used to play

Alright, DJ, yeah, Johnny Cash with I've been everywhere. Yeah, that comes out of the conversation that we just had with David. He had actually met Johnny Cash. How cool. You know, we've got a lot of connections with people that we know through the show that know almost everybody in the world. I mean, all when you start thinking about it. We are connected right here. We're only a couple degrees separation from everybody everywhere. So what a good tune. Thank you for that. DJ, you're listening to 690 am WNZ K. Ask the neighbors the show. I'm your host Danko Sutter offski. Thank you all for tuning in every day and contributing and be a part of our show being a part of our community. We appreciate it. And we love you for that. All right. Right now we got Dr. biter on the line. Good morning, Dr. biter. Hey, thank you. Good morning. How are you? I'm all right. I was just thinking of that song. Did you hear the song we just played or no? Yeah, and I was gonna tell you need to play Rick Maraniss his version of it. It's I ain't going nowhere, man. Oh

Unknown Speaker 19:56

yeah, if you haven't heard that song, it's really funny. I mean, it

Unknown Speaker 20:00

He wrote down long before the pandemic, but it is fun. Oh, that's great. That's great. But I was thinking to this song Johnny Cash, it kind of reminded me, uh, you you're always traveling and been in all over the place.

Unknown Speaker 20:13

Yeah, I can't say that I've been to every place that he thinks about and I still I'm impressed with how he rattled off every one of those cities. Right? Wow. It's amazing. Really impressive. It is impressive. Because because you know, when you think about that, that's really mental training. Right? When you're Yeah, right. It's super mental training to discipline yourself to get to that speed practice all those things to get

Unknown Speaker 20:37

to that place, you know, so. So what's been going on with you doctor biter? What's been happening in your world?

Unknown Speaker 20:44

Well, I mean, look at our weather today, huh? We get a little break here. We need it. This is nice. Yeah, it is nice. Especially where we're headed. I guess after this, right? We're counting down to spring now, you know, we got, what about 60 days or so to spring time? Not too far away? 15, right. I know. So we're looking good in that direction. You know, there's so many things that we can talk about. And I love to talk about all these different things.

Unknown Speaker 21:14

Last Last night, I was watching a piece by David Chalmers, he is a professor on consciousness.

Unknown Speaker 21:25

And we're just going to start talking a little bit about that.

Unknown Speaker 21:29

So the question in science is, does consciousness exist? Right? And if it does, how do you measure it? And what is it? Right? It was a really interesting conversation, because we all know this consciousness is there, right? But how do you measure it? How do you work with it? How do you identify it? And these are some of the topics that were interesting, because,

Unknown Speaker 21:57

you know, we live in a life that I don't know that we know how conscious we are about what we're doing, and what we're saying.

Unknown Speaker 22:07

I would agree with that. I mean, I always go back to, you know, our consciousness creates our reality. Not, you know, not looking to measure it, but being aware that the world that you see is the world that you're seeing through the consciousness that you're creating for yourself.

Unknown Speaker 22:27

I don't know people really understand the power of that. You know, I think a lot of people think that things are out there. But in essence, they really aren't there, you bring them into yourself through consciousness.

Unknown Speaker 22:41

So true, and it's in it's this kind of like, foggy thing you can't touch right? And Momo, is difficult to understand. And then to measure your level of awareness of your own consciousness is another matter, right? So

Unknown Speaker 22:59

when we start thinking about these things, so this guy was trying to identify, you know, all the different parts and pieces of consciousness, right? And how can we look at that? And, and that's just one thing that I think every day, you know, being better with who we are, we have to, like we talked about, understand why we're doing what we're doing, why we're saying what we're saying, and

Unknown Speaker 23:26

what our actions saying about the direction that we're going and who we are. And so, you know, this is a life journey, you know, we are always trying to be better, right, doc? And yeah, and it and being aware, how can we practice being more conscious about our consciousness?

Unknown Speaker 23:47

Now, this is where I think, you know, getting into a daily practice of meditation, where, you know, you just slow yourself down. I mean, it is so simple to explain, but it is very, very challenging to execute every day, like, you know, I do I do a 10 minute meditation every morning, I do the calm app. And basically, tomorrow, love, it's the voice behind it. And she's, you know, she encourages you to sit still. And just focus on your breath and don't let your mind take off.

Unknown Speaker 24:24

And some mornings, it's, it's okay. And some morning, it's like, and then you know, it's on the hamster wheel and away we go. Right, right. Right. But if you want to, if you want to practice that, I mean, that's that's really like just following your breath. See how long you can even do that. You could put yourself on a little timer if you wanted to. But it's it's a challenge to not let your mind want to go off into any other area. There's so many things around us right and so many thoughts that pass through us daily. And these thoughts somewhere we're creating some are from our past.

Unknown Speaker 25:00

past some, we're thinking about our future, right? All these little thoughts come through your mind. And,

Unknown Speaker 25:08

and we're, we you know, as humans, we're trying to navigate relationships and we're trying to navigate our best self to the table. Right? And to do that, you know, I did you know, I'd like to do yoga, because if I do yoga, I can meditate better, or if that makes any sense, you know, after you after, when you do yoga, typically, you you do like a small meditation at the end, but sometimes longer. And there's a lot of great content out there for people to do meditations. You know, you mentioned, I'm sorry, I didn't get it completely. Carolina. You said Kamera. Love it. She does calm app. Kamera. Love marriage ta o Tonnerre. Ma Tamera. To there. I love it. And she does 10 minute calm.

Unknown Speaker 26:03

Yeah, I mean, she has an app. There's lots of I do her daily meditation about 10 minutes. She she has a lot of guest

Unknown Speaker 26:12

speakers on that on their to do other segments, but that's the one I enjoy. So I do hers. So what's really interesting to me is and for I hope our listeners as well is like what can you do when you are in control of your consciousness? Right. And I feel most what percentage of the population do you feel is in good control of their consciousness?

Unknown Speaker 26:36

Wow, that's that's an interesting question. I would probably ask the question, how many are even aware of what their consciousness does for? Right, you know, right. There you go. That's a good that's a step one first, right is, the first step is, hey, do you even know what we're talking about? Here? Yeah. Are you aware of it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's a, it's a, it's a complex thing. And unlike any other animals in the world, right, we get to think about what we're doing our relationships, how we can use our words, to either soothe others, or agitate others, right. But it all begins and ends with our consciousness of where we are, who we are, what we're doing, how happy we are, what our situation is. And, um, and, you know, I, I'm not a doctor of any kind, but, you know, having studied yoga and other things like that, and consciousness is, is everything, you know, after like watching this little video, you know, this man has spent his whole life trying to dissect and understand consciousness. Right. So I got to give him credit for that, because no one else has tried to I mean, not average, not no one else. But I think that's a field that a lot of people just brush over, you know, and they talked and he was talking about, okay, well, you have different people that can measure, your brain activity, your neuroplasticity, all these different things that you can measure, but we still don't really understand consciousness. Right? So and, you know, when you look at different ways to approach and try to understand it,

Unknown Speaker 28:28

you know, we are as a, as a world trying to understand consciousness now. And I think we're getting closer to a doc, how do you feel that? Do you feel like our world is getting more a little more aware after these times?

Unknown Speaker 28:44

I mean, one of the things I think you you've probably heard, as

Unknown Speaker 28:49

I have said, you know, we're always trying to raise everyone's consciousness about certain topics. Yeah, I mean, even if you think about that, like in that regards, and then how successful are we but I still go back to, you know, even though we can raise people's awareness and raise their consciousness, it gets back to you know, I see the world as I am not as it is. So what am I allowing into the world that I see? So that that to me, that's consciousness right there. Yeah. And if you want to, if you want to affect change for people that way, I think you need to help them understand just what the power is that they have, you know, you were just saying just now about, like, you know, you have the ability to make others, you know, through your, through your words to how you can, you know, leave somebody feeling you can impact and influence how they feel, and that that goes for ourselves as well. So what's the inner dialogue that we're telling ourselves on a daily basis? It's tough. I mean, I think it's a tough dialogue. I think a lot of people you know, including myself, I think we

Unknown Speaker 30:00

We, as humans are prone to do those kinds of things to ourselves talk, you know, hey, we're, you know, are you good enough? Are you doing the right things? Are you

Unknown Speaker 30:12

all these different things? And we can question ourselves about that. And that's a great way to reflect by, you know, doing a meditation, um, and actually talking to others as well, you know, about this topic, I think is important. You know, when you say I see the world as I am, when you talk with your friends, are you guys do they see that, like, you see that? Right? And there's ways to approach it. And I think it's a fun space to explore this, yeah, this whole, this whole area of consciousness and how we're approaching it, what we're doing with it. And,

Unknown Speaker 30:49

and there's so many components of consciousness, Doc, I mean, it's so it's such a big piece. But

Unknown Speaker 30:56

I think for a lot of us, when we say, you know, when we make a conscious decision, it's something that connects with our soul.

Unknown Speaker 31:06

You know, and the closer we can get to, you know, really good conscious, this, right, and understanding our actions and how they affect our ourselves. Number one, and that's a huge piece, how, you know, in our world that we live in, we're fed a lot of negative information, right? And we're constantly being challenged by people trying to take things from you, or maybe make you do something you might not want to do. How do you retrain your brain to that positive place to go forward?

Unknown Speaker 31:45

I like to use the metaphor of food. All right.

Unknown Speaker 31:51

And I think about Zig Ziglar. And once and when I heard him speak once, and he said that, you know, I never ate something that somebody else forced me to eat.

Unknown Speaker 32:04

Because I made a conscious choice to put that in my mouth, chew it and swallow it.

Unknown Speaker 32:10

So he's, so I think of I think of that a lot. Like when I think about, like, when you're asking that question, like, how do we trigger? What I would say, we're not necessarily fed, but we're offered a lot of junk food, right? So do you choose to consume it? Or do you choose to take a healthier approach? Right? You know, to me, that would be that's how you retrain it like you and hey, our heritage, I'm gonna say the word you become conscious of your choices, right? Yes. You become conscious mindful of, oh, okay, I'm gonna make sure that what I am consuming is really healthy for me, as opposed to, and actually, I don't know, if you had a chance to see it. But I sent you the link for my LinkedIn posts today. And it's actually about nutrition for the brain. Oh, it's making a good choice around nutrition. You know, just like, for the body, you got to do the same thing for the mind. Yes. And so feeding the mind.

Unknown Speaker 33:14

What are you saying with that?

Unknown Speaker 33:18

I'm saying like, what do I choose that, like helps, for example, would promote a growth mindset? Okay, so like, if I'm consuming social media, is that helping my mind grow? Or is that basically, this is just kind of like candy. I shouldn't eat as much candy. Right? Right, you know, does it help me? Does it challenge me to think about things differently? And what does it does it challenge me to not only think about things differently, but to actually put something into motion action, motivate mind it right to maybe motivate us to have us be more positive towards ourselves by the actions that we take. So

Unknown Speaker 33:59

really great. I'm looking at your piece today. Welcome to wellness Wednesdays and this post you have here.

Unknown Speaker 34:09

So

Unknown Speaker 34:10

yeah, you know, every single week we talk about I think, you know, things that aren't really discussed many places and that's such a great thing that you bring to the show doc and you know to be able to talk about consciousness with you This is awesome. It's really great

Unknown Speaker 34:29

so uh, I just want to make sure that we are you know, sharing what you do to for the community and you have a program called Happy dot life h a p p e dot life. That's your website, but it's also where you would put in your email to get the application for EFT which is Emotional Freedom Technique. Dr. biter. You've

Unknown Speaker 34:56

offer this program for free to schools.

Unknown Speaker 35:00

And to anyone. So I just always want to make sure people know, there are tools out there that you can use and emotional freedom technique. If you could describe it, we could, you know, share that with our folks. Sure. So the first thing I have to say is thank you, oh, you're posting the link on your website, I did see that. Oh, yeah. I appreciate that. That was under the Health tab on your website. So thank you very much. I think that's wonderful that your Promote helping promote our programs. You know, one of the things that I'd like to just talk about a little bit about the Emotional Freedom Techniques, as I saw a client this week, who's who has us who's struggling with a certain behavior that he really wants to get rid of. It's not, it's not moving him forward. It's not a growth mindset. And he knows, and he knows, I mean, that's why he came to see me. And so he agreed to start doing a tapping on a daily basis, as a way when he feels that urge to engage in that behavior, he just automatically does a little tapping session right before he's about to kind of submit to that urge. And then he said, it's so much easier not to do it. So it's, it's a, you can use it. And this is what we were designed to pour as a proactive tool. Like, rather than make it reactive, let's, let's give you a tool in the toolbox. So it's a way for you to basically manage stress and anxiety. And something that it's, it's completely in your control. So we'll give you the the pathway forward to teach you how to do it. It's pretty simple. You can follow it through and you can tap on just about anything that you feel anxious or stressed about, and to relieve the stress. So that that's really and I know we've created it for for children. That was the idea behind it at the start. But I'm telling you that as adults, we can always use an extra tool in the toolbox to help us manage with that. I mean, the number one thing people talk about all the time is stress. Right? Oh, I'm so stressed out from this or that? Okay, well, what what tools? Do you have to combat that? So that's what we're happy about this program? Well, that's how fantastic that's yeah, no, that's, that's fantastic. So so this gentleman, this person started to tap when he had this feeling to do that kind of, um,

Unknown Speaker 37:23

what was it that he alleviated, if you don't mind me asking. So it's a behavior that basically withheld withdrew him from everyone else. So, and he stayed, you know, to himself, basically, it damages his relationships. It kind of keeps him like hidden, I stand down, and it's been people don't want to hide, right, you know, they want him to be, you know, interacting with them and be available to talk to them. And, you know, I see, and it's, and it's caused him a lot of anxiety, because he doesn't want to do it, but he doesn't seem to couldn't find a way around it.

Unknown Speaker 38:05

Well, that's just one example. There we go of how you can use this program, not only for yourself, but also to share it for people that, you know, maybe you have some friends that you notice that it gets stressed out sometimes, or are having some personal anxiety problems or issues and stuff, depression, you can offer this, this program is free everybody. So you can use these techniques. You know, when you're going into situations, starting your day, all these different types of things that you can tap your way through to a more peaceful, more conscious day, I feel.

Unknown Speaker 38:45

So it's fantastic. I'm so happy about your program. I just hope that more and more people are using it around the world. And we're really proud that you're part of our program. Thank you, doctor for sharing this information today. Is there anything else you want to let our audience know?

Unknown Speaker 39:01

You know, one, one last final comment, I guess, is one of my very good friends is dying of brain cancer. He has aged four, it's really bad. No, sorry to hear that. And, and I, you know, when you ask about consciousness, and I think about like, what's important in life, you know, here's, here's my friend who's who's now struggling to just live that through the day, you know, I know like, I'm not even going to try to guess what people are struggling with as far as like, I'm worried about this, that and the other thing, but at the end of the day, it's like really what is important so like, whenever his wife calls us and says, Can you do this to me? There's no there's nothing more important in the world than for me to drop everything and go help in whatever way I can. Right. And to me that that's really what I don't know. I think that makes your life fulfilling and it's it makes it worth living when you can help someone else in ways that you know, and of course she feels

Unknown Speaker 40:00

You know, uncomfortable having to ask, but we don't feel uncomfortable being able to help. Right? That's, that's a feeling that a lot of people have is we don't feel uncomfortable. You know, helping, right. So I my words to the listener was is like, if you need help ask for it because there's people out there that you're gonna make their day because they were able to do something really positive to make not only you feel better but them as well. So good, good. I don't know. That's what I'd leave you with for today. All right. I'll be calling you later asking you for what I need help with. You can do that.

Unknown Speaker 40:38

All right, I got it. Thanks so much, dad. Time, Doc. It's been great. You're welcome. You take care you too. Bye now. All right, that was Dr. biter. Letting us know if you need help, just ask because, you know, there's a lot of people out there that want to help choose to help and would like to be there for you. So remember that and also don't forget to help because it feels great when we can help somebody and and do the right thing. So let's try to do that. We're going to go to some commercials right now. And we will be right back.

And with the direction it comes the directions now. In large, large saucepan or skillet. Brown the sausage breaking up the pieces. Okay, large saucepan, Brown.

Unknown Speaker 1:11:50

All right now this is the savory pastries that you put on top right? let's sift flour and seize the names. Sift flour, and seasonings

Unknown Speaker 1:12:03

and add celery seed and blend in shortening. Seed and blend

Unknown Speaker 1:12:11

Add water and mix until well moistened. And water and mix

till well moistened.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:25

Okay, and roll as desired. Roll. So you're either gonna break it up, you know, for the smaller dishes or just the one big one that goes on the larger container. We're just putting this on the top.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:40

Okay. All right. Um, so this is an underneath is just all of our goodness in the pan. And then the top is the Okay, this is great. This is great. What a little different because it has the pork sausage hidden in the thing as well. I'm sure that makes a lot more flavorful.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:59

I love it. I'm not noticing any carrots in here.

Unknown Speaker 1:13:02

I was thinking about myself. I didn't put it in myself when I made it. But I that that kind of crossed my mind did it alright, we're on the same wavelength.

Unknown Speaker 1:13:14

You probably have to cook the carrots just a little bit anyway, before you put it in though. Yeah, cuz you know, it's gonna give it a little more color in there too. Which means the dish I think, just feel better and will taste better. Lou rutabagas could go in there as well. Yeah, this is such a great recipe. Peggy, I'm so glad you're doing well. You're dancing around the kitchen. I appreciate you calling in and sharing this recipe. I've been thinking about you and wondering what's been going on. So I'm glad you're doing all mischief with all the records that I have around here in the books and yes, yes, doing historical searches and all this other stuff. Keep in mind that I'm doing too many sweet things. Oh, never too many for us over here. So

Unknown Speaker 1:14:00

let us know. Let us know when you're doing something new. Let us know. Sharing and thank you so much for the call. Anything else you want to let our neighbors know Peggy? Oh, Chuck because, yeah. Oh, David called Peggy. He just wanted to say thank you for the fruitcake, he made him. Oh, that was sweet of him. Oh, good. I'm glad he enjoyed that. That's really nice. All right, Peggy, thank you so much for your time, you might play as Elvis Presley. All right. Well, I can't help falling in love with you. Nobody does it better than he does. No one does. My brother saw him once in person and he was running up the steps to get into a place where my brother was, was standing. And he opened the door as he flew past and I said didn't he say anything? He says yeah, he says, like very much.

Unknown Speaker 1:14:53

Thank you very much.

Unknown Speaker 1:14:55

I thought I would play Elvis because of that. That's right for it.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:00

That's the king. All right. All right, Peggy. We'll play that for you shortly. Okay, all right. Thank you. Bye. Bye. All right, DJ, what do we who do we have on the line? Right, Renee. We got Renee on the line. All right. Let's go to Renee Carcetti. And then after that, we'll play some music. Hello, Renee. Welcome to the show. Hi, good morning. Good morning. You sound good. Well, I medicate myself, cough flashes, lots of water. But everyone swell, ugly cough comes back. So is it a deep, deep coma? We'll see if we can get through this. Yeah, it's that. You know, it's like you're trying to cough up? I don't know what.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:42

A long.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:44

So we'll try to keep the coughing down. And so did you. Are you officially tested for positive? I did. Okay. Did you have?

Unknown Speaker 1:15:54

Okay, now, tell me you are that variant because I had I had

Unknown Speaker 1:16:00

the vaccines. So well, this is what I wanted to say that she that? Yeah, they're lying to say that she don't get something even though you're vaccinated. Cuz you do. So you're telling me you're vaccinating your child fully vaccinated with the booster?

Unknown Speaker 1:16:16

No, I didn't get a booster. Okay. Because I don't know, which goes to Johnson Johnson. So okay. That's true. They didn't say and you don't start mixing stuff. I agree with you there. It's like mixing tequila with whatever else, you know. So

Unknown Speaker 1:16:31

make yourself more shaped. But anyway, that's right. The thing is, do you have a vaccine? In my opinion? I mean, how many times did you get a polio vaccine? Once I think, Okay, how many times? Did you get the other the other vaccines after you were a child? Well, you know, what's interesting is I got a big scar on my,

Unknown Speaker 1:16:53

my, my polio, you only got it once? Well, you know, no, I came from a different country. So when you come from a different country, they give you one of these mega things, you know, and I don't know what was in there. But when you come to America from a different country, you can see people have that scar of that big shot that they were given of who knows what's in there. But you're right, you know, usually you get one shot per vaccine. Right. Right. That's the vaccine though. This is no different than getting a flu shot.

Unknown Speaker 1:17:26

Okay, makes sense. I mean, I am no, I am saying, you know, you should still get your flu shot. How much stuff do we want to mix in there that we don't even don't that mixes? Well, I got some great. Oh, anyway, Dr. Fauci would really not to get political about it.

Unknown Speaker 1:17:43

These are not these are not vaccines. And I guess we're rounding the quarter to getting four shots. Oh, man, you know, for this.

Unknown Speaker 1:17:52

Israel's already done before shot. So if you look, I'm the card got rooms before this matter me. Oh, that was already set up. I did. Yeah. You're right about

Unknown Speaker 1:18:04

that. Anytime we get something that's already pre set up. I'm thinking. Yeah, you know, I thought that when I got it anyway, well, you don't care. But I've gotten better. And guess what? When this is done? Yeah. Then guess what? I have natural immunity. Oh, I've got my own my own immunity. I don't normally get sick. I mean, I can tell you count in the last 20 years of my one one hand that I might have had flu for 24 hours. Oh, really? I just don't I don't I don't know. I have not gotten sick. Boy, lots of supplements and lots of vitamins and lots of stuff. And I just manage for most of these years not to get anything. I'm still taking the same vitamins and stuff. But I guess this is so doggone contagious. Ages. Yeah. Yeah. My granddaughter came home from from work and she tests she tested positive. So my son and I said, Well, I guess we better check and see. Well, we all went again Monday and he's so positive. So I'm not gonna keep testing. And I didn't go on the website. The government website they talked about on Channel, Channel Seven. Well, yesterday, it was open today is supposed to be the day yesterday is open. So I'm getting four test kits that are supposed to arrive sometime.

Unknown Speaker 1:19:26

You know, to self destruct or to self administer your own test get Yeah, right. Right. Right. Because they're that they're not necessarily it's nothing different. When you go to the for them to test they do this. They do the same kind of thing that the self administer test at home is Yeah, well, I wish you all the health possible, you know, and then you're right. You're going to have immunity to this thing once you beat it out of your system when it comes out and your natural

Unknown Speaker 1:20:00

Have you done the worst thing? I think? Yeah, the worst thing about this is that all of a sudden, for me, it just almost takes stuff anxiety. I mean, now all of a sudden, I'm just like, I gotta go and lay down. Yeah, you know, yeah, you don't have that. That one on and on and on. I mean, I get going and start doing stuff. Next thing I look at and say, I think I need to go to my bed. Takes the energy out. Did you lose your taste and smell?

Unknown Speaker 1:20:24

Um,

Unknown Speaker 1:20:26

I think the smell that the taste, but I but I was taking advantage of not feeling like I was very hungry. Oh, no, I eat minimal stuff. That was good. I figured hey, I'd make it lose a couple pounds. Yeah, we can all lose a few pounds.

Unknown Speaker 1:20:43

make it worthwhile. It's something you want to eat. Yeah, get something out of it. So you know, we opened up our show with David saying that one of his family members is going through probate right now. And and so like he said, you know, people should call that nice lady Renee Carcetti. That's on your show, so that they can have their their house in order when it comes to because he's, he's he's getting the backlash now of the, you know, the family. They're fighting for things. No one there's Oh, well, I mean, it's a mess. It's a mess. I think I think it's too funny for parents to be presumptuous, that their children are so loving. And so everything that when they're gone, they'll just stand there and say, Here's yours. Yours, yours, yours fair. Over my 32 years, going 33. Now 33, I have seen only one family. And it wasn't mine.

Unknown Speaker 1:21:53

I had my I had my brother in law's calling me and going to sue me. And I said so sorry. I'm not the I'm not the trustee.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:04

Now you have to call my brother in Denver. Wow. Right. Anyway, different different time zones.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:11

Oh, when it comes to money when it comes to money? Yeah, unless you've made which I have made a my trust. When I go. My trust splits in this three. And there's no discussion, no anything, it just automatically they give them the death certificate. And each of them has their own trust, which has 1/3 of whatever I have done. And gone equals no discussion.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:37

Equal unless, unless I have made arrangements otherwise and giving somebody something ahead of time, then they get that much less than that. My mother in law did do that. She had a couple of kids that needed money. And so she gave them to her their inheritance are part of this soon, but it was written right into her thing that Yep, you got yours earlier. So yeah, the rest, you know, you get the share and the rest of them get a share. And that was the end of it. Yeah, I mean, and everyone thinks that we're never going to go you don't I mean, and oh, no, we are.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:15

We are we are leaving. Yes, we are we we can't find that expiration date. I hunt every day in the shower camp. I'm

Unknown Speaker 1:23:23

good to go. You're good to go. For sure. Yeah. Especially you're gonna eat this, you're gonna beat this here. And you're going to have a stronger immunity. Yeah. And be be able to go forward here in the next

Unknown Speaker 1:23:36

next situation even better, you know, whatever that's gonna be. Oh, no, yeah, I'm hoping that I'm hoping this isn't going to become a norm that every year just like the flu are gonna, because you know what, every year they don't they make a flu vaccine. But they never know, if it's the right variant that they're covering. I always want people to have flu shots where it never, it never addressed the flu variant that was that year, its flavor of the year, it seemed like that was what was happening consistently for the last 20 years that oh, we know it's not that effective, because we didn't really so like why are you putting this into Peto? No, they don't really know. It's

Unknown Speaker 1:24:16

that scary. It scares me to put things in your body that your body may be allergic to there's actually a test,

Unknown Speaker 1:24:25

a saliva test that that produces

Unknown Speaker 1:24:30

results against all the drugs that are in the formulary, which is what that'd be the FTAs list of drugs. And people I've had six or seven people have this test, my husband being one of them, and he had three of the medications he were on was on that were counterintuitive to his health. See, they were doing more harm than good. See what I mean? The doctor took them off, right? So you don't know because they just make these drugs. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:25:00

It's not, not for any specific person across the board. And everybody's not the same. No, I haven't taken a flu shot. I'll tell you this, Renee, I haven't taken a flu shot. Personally, I don't know, when was my last flu shot? Probably when I was a kid. Just, you know, because I just don't think I I'd rather my body I think is strong enough to fight off a flu. And if I get it, all right, I'm gonna fight it off naturally. I don't want to put strange flu vaccines in me that there's no proof that they're going to be proactive to stop anything. I don't know. It's just stupid. And you don't know that. They don't know that. No, but they call it practicing medicine practice. But no, no, no. medical profession, but they're practicing medicine. They don't know. I'm vaccinated here. And I believe this is a whole nother animal. The flu thing is a whole different thing. But every year, you know, they start marketing, like get your flu shot. They're doing it free. They're doing it here. They're doing that everywhere. How they're trying to tell you to do the flu shot plus this. Yeah, we know those are compatible. We don't you know, we don't know a lot of things right now. I don't know. No.

Unknown Speaker 1:26:10

No, no. And when you don't know, uh, confused or, or a doubtful mind says, No. Yeah. Yes, does because you don't just go and say, hey, you know, how many people have done things? And they've just said, Hey, okay, I'll do this, and then regretted it. Right. So I'd rather regret that. I said, No, then then just get a bunch of stuff and go, Oh, my gosh, yeah, no, I have this happening to me, like some allergy. That right, you know, that I don't know where it's coming from. But you know, back to that stuff is like, we got to be careful on what we're allowing into our body. You know, that's our choice. We still have that choice of I think what we can do, I'm not an anti Vaxxer. But I think we have to be smart about which things you have to make. You have to think about it and make your own thing and even pray about it. Anyway, back to the person that talked about the probate, right. There is no reason anybody should have to go through probate court. It takes a simple and and very focused

Unknown Speaker 1:27:19

bit of paperwork that cost you next to nothing. Right, comparatively, I mean, you go to probate court, and they sit there and there's, there's a court fee and all the lawyer fee. Oh, yeah. And there's a court appointed lawyer for the for their side, you know, for the for the court side. And then there's if the if the person you know, doesn't is hasn't got anybody that's named their trustee, then there's one appointed by the court, and all these people get paid. Oh, yeah. Everybody's making money. Everybody get everything. Yeah, everybody's making money except the family that should get it. Right. When they get down to the bottom. I have a person that was taking care of a gal and it's all she did was go to all Kern County and wanted to name her as her,

Unknown Speaker 1:28:09

you know, person to take care of her. Okay. She was supposed to be here. The person that was was primary caregiver, and everything. Yes. Right. And then because she was not her relative, right, they all went the court went nuts and had hearings for two years. So in the interim, that lady died. And now her state that was probably $400,000 is about 40. And nobody's gotten anything. Thank you very much.

Unknown Speaker 1:28:39

Right, so the Oakland County

Unknown Speaker 1:28:43

system, you know, they cast That's disgusting. That's disgusting. The court the probate court system is funded by people who don't do the right thing. Well,

Unknown Speaker 1:28:56

if it cost you $250 to $1,000, is that is that not worth losing EPS almost 300,000 I mean, no hands down. It is and people are like, you know, really we need to address that probate problem and you know, I'm bringing I'm glad you bring it up and people it's a choice. I mean, it's not a mandatory thing that you go out and you take do these things and people like everything else, people that are dying, that don't have any life insurance, and then they want to have a GoFundMe account to have everybody else pay for something that you know is going to happen. Yeah. Right. You know, so gold find out from your from the from the you know, local mortuary, you know what it costs you know, to be buried and you can select your own your own thing you know, my husband died I did mine it's all paid for and so it's done. But if you leave it, you know, leave things hanging out there. Yeah. You don't know how much it's going to cost. So I locked down the price I prepaid for nice done

Unknown Speaker 1:30:00

then that your cat your kids don't have to worry about it. Nobody has to. You don't have to do anything but make a phone call. It's like okay, Rene's here. Boom

Unknown Speaker 1:30:13

there she is. I've already got about it. But I've got I've got two sons, so there'll be my VR would be a little upset about it. But you know, I told him on the on the other side. Exactly. That's how it goes. That's how we're here for sure. Anybody's not getting off of this planet alive.

Unknown Speaker 1:30:34

So, get on a rocket ship to Mars. You're

Unknown Speaker 1:30:38

right. It's gonna be Yeah, no, it's um, it's true. We got to set ourselves up and be sure that we're not a burden after we go, you know, care business, right? Care a business, get your house in order. I've already got my cemetery plot already paid for for myself. And, you know, hey, I think there is stuff in between Don Danko is you know, it's the cost. It's the cost of everything. You'd be surprised merchandise. Oh, I know. I've seen it. I've seen it. I've seen it. I felt it. It's quite a bit of money. You know, if you do all those proceedings and everything you're looking at, possibly 30k

Unknown Speaker 1:31:19

Yeah, well, you don't you can get away with a lot less than that. And you can be frugal enough that and still have a be nice. Well, I want to have a big event. I mean, I'm talking a big event you know, party

Unknown Speaker 1:31:33

celebration.

Unknown Speaker 1:31:36

All friends and stuff. Yeah, there's where most of the money went. But not you know, you know, you're gonna go in you're gonna be stuck in the ground or stuck in the mycelium, you know, a wall or something, depending on what the situation is. You're not being seen again. So is you know, you don't need to get all fancy dancy and have the all kinds of Yeah, plain simple thing. Yeah, yeah. Resting Place. Yeah. I mean, you know, what inbox was what it all was in the in the day now, it's much more exaggerated. A lot of people you know, will, you know, the, the actual viewing and everything like that, especially with COVID have passed on that, you know, where you have two, three days at the funeral now. That's okay. That was That's it right up my alley, because only the people who love you are gonna need to go on visit you the next day. Yes, that's what happened. Right. He died on on Sunday. And Monday morning, we went and said goodbye. Are there for about two hours. So they gave us Yeah. And then off he went. Yeah. You know, there was nobody else gonna come and see him anyway. I mean, that there is too much protocol. 10 people a time Oh, please. You know, yeah. And no need to know. So remember him the way was I had a nice picture of them. And they all got that and, you know, remembrance card and everything else. And, you know, if he didn't spend a whole lot of time with somebody, and you didn't see them lately, right. You know, coming in staring at I'm deleting? Yeah. Not is not gonna is not gonna be very helpful. That's right. No, I can appreciate that you shouldn't respect me your last respects if that happens, right? I'm just saying, generally, no, especially with this COVID thing that's been kind of

Unknown Speaker 1:33:23

spread anything. So yeah, but you know, this is this is all the stuff that you help people do is look at where they're at, with their finances, their business and identify weak points where they need to protect themselves and their family from losing it all.

Unknown Speaker 1:33:43

possibly losing it all, and putting them into the rights pieces in places that are going to make, you know, over the long run, where you want to be, I was talking to someone last night, you know, they lost you know, they they put into the stock market and pretended like they could, you know,

Unknown Speaker 1:34:03

be the stock trader they put in over a million dollars and lost it all. Ah, because

Unknown Speaker 1:34:11

not in one day, but over time. You know, I know but that's sad because there's ways of doing money and money management where you're not losing money when the market, no market, it's like it's like an EKG, everybody's seen what an EKG looks like. That's what the stock market healthy stock market looks like. But there's ways that you can make money when the stock market goes down. And when it's actively managed for you or actively managed. You don't have to worry about it. Well, that's what I was thinking. I was thinking somebody's sitting there watching it all the time. You can't do that yourself. The first thing I thought was Dad, you wouldn't know what to do. I go that could have been my island. You know what I mean? That was my island.

Unknown Speaker 1:34:53

For Sale up there. Yeah, well, we gotta make an offer. I would think it is. I think anybody bid on that. We will

Unknown Speaker 1:35:00

I heard about that I'm sure by now. Absolutely. But you know, so these are the things that I want to share. Because these are true stories, people think that you know, we can be this expert at something we aren't experts at. And that's why we're not our own doctors, our own dental surgeons and stuff. We don't know what we're doing. Come on. And if we don't know that for that, then you got programs, you got the experience. And that's really important. You can forget all the programs you've seen all you've seen, right? I've seen people I've seen people parlay me or you there's, there's a way in, a lot of people do, they can, they can double their money every two to four years. There you go, they have to be disciplined. They have to, you know, leave alone, they can't go run in there and start, you know, buying, you know, toys and everything else. But you know, if you're ever going to retire, and you're ever going to have enough money to live on, in Nome, we talked about inflation just a little while ago, while on the television, it's now it's at 7%. We were we were for a while from 2008. And so we were almost a negligible inflation, and then it creeped up to about two 3%. And now it's jumped to seven.

Unknown Speaker 1:36:12

And then if they started doing the interest rate increases, it's going to jump higher.

Unknown Speaker 1:36:18

So I don't know they were talking about stuff that it's going to cost more. Yep, it is all across the board everything. And just within the COVID gave it the opening to how much cars are going to cost. Do you think they're gonna come down much?

Unknown Speaker 1:36:33

Oh, no, they'll go up, they'll go up there, they have been going up, they've been there, look, keep going up. We've got to, we've got to be smart. Because we can be taken out. Take care of your car, take care of your car, take care of it. Take care of your house, take care of yourself, share all your things, the little things that go wrong, the little things you know, don't put them off. Right, you know, fix the faucet and the new thing in the back of the toilet. Yeah, all that stuff because your water bill is going to go up if you're if the toilets leaking. There you go. You know, I don't mean on the floor, you know, on down the, you know, running. That's right. Oh, there's all kinds of little things, make sure lights lights are off, you know, you know, dial down your thermostat, put it put a sweatshirt on or next or you know, you know an extra sweaters put on a onesie things you got right

Unknown Speaker 1:37:24

about that

Unknown Speaker 1:37:31

I would prefer pieces.

Unknown Speaker 1:37:33

Anyway, just there are things think about it, there are practical things that you can do to maintain and keep keep things at a at a cost and and without things going nuts. You know, be careful what you buy at the grocery store. Maybe it's maybe buy what's in season, or what's on sale? Yeah. You know, you know, maybe find some new recipes. I mean, my gosh, you guys are sharing them all over the place. You know, every day. Yeah. Or you know, or go online and put in the ingredients say what can I make out of this? That's right. Yeah, this is um, these are all these things that we love having you on our show. Renee concetti Renee Carcetti from tech solutions consultants.com Thank you so much for being on our show.
