We're coming at you from W NZ K 690 am on the dial 690 am WNZK with me right now I have Jennifer. Hello, Jennifer.
Unknown Speaker 5:19
Morning. It is your woman on the line.
Speaker 1 5:23
Hey, woman for the month. What's happening? Jennifer, how are you?
Unknown Speaker 5:28
Nothing. I'm great. I am looking forward to another. I guess pre seasonably warm day here. So pretty happy about that.
Speaker 1 5:36
Yeah, here. We might have hit some record temperatures today. May. So that's great. I mean, we went from freezing cold to nice weather here in Michigan, which I can appreciate that. Yeah. So last few days, we've been talking with all kinds of different folks, we appreciate you guys tuning in. This is a show that we talk about things that you might ask the neighbor, things around the home, things that you might want to cook questions that you might have about anything really that relates to the home, the household, and whatnot, you can call us at 248557 3300. As we discuss things today, we're gonna have some different callers calling in later, Dr. biter is going to be calling in in a little while we're also going to have kebab Island calling in later today as well. Kebab islands located on 13 Mile Road, just west of Shaner across from Rand dazzles. So they're going to be calling and talking a little bit about their awesome kebabs and different things that they have there. So I want to just thank everybody for tuning in today. It's 690 AM, it's early 9am. It's not that early, but it's early enough. I think. Some people might be just starting work. We appreciate you tuning in again, if you have a question or want to make a comment 248557 3300. With Jennifer right now, we are celebrating Women's month. And today actually, Jennifer is the first day that Corona was a Corona case was identified in Michigan last year.
Unknown Speaker 7:17
Yeah, I've heard our governor say that last night on the radio, and it's amazing. It's been a year and what is what I want to think about Morris. I mean, notwithstanding all the tremendous sorrow and loss, let's be clear, it's been horrific. But, you know, I think it's human nature to want to look for that light at the end of the tunnel. And I think that with all the advancements made in vaccines, and the number of us going to get those vaccines, the number of us who've already been infected and made it I think watching Science kind of take place. And maybe we're gonna get through this.
Speaker 1 7:57
I mean, I don't watch the statistics lately. I don't know actually how we're doing in, in the corona world. But um, you know, there was a there was a time I was tracking it by the minute almost then I think every American was. And I think we just got overloaded with information about that. So that specific, specific topic and then you just kind of get overloaded with information and you're just like, I can't do anything more. I can't watch any more of this. Fear TV, and or news. So you just kind of back down a little bit. Not I'm not really sure where the numbers are right now. If anybody knows out there, give us a call 248557 3300 If you guys have a question about that. We also were talking with Jennifer about getting vaccines we personally I had a great experience with my parents. When I took them to Meijer, they were able to schedule the appointment quickly. Process, my parents and many, many others at the location and Warren on off a 12 mile. So hats off to Meyer and everybody else working to try to get everyone vaccinated. I think many people are trying it. A lot of organizations, there's a lot of bureaucracy, and I just hope that we can vaccinate our people here in our state that we need to get vaccinated. If you're a senior and you're having some trouble finding a place, give us a call, we could probably help you through some of our contacts get you to where you gotta be. I know a lot of seniors might not have internet connection and whatnot. So we're here to help guys. So give us a call 248557 3300 I wanted to let you know to Jennifer yesterday, I had Ike Ingo balm on our show in the later half of our show. And he was generous enough to start letting people know that there are ask your neighbor recipe books that are here from Bob. Allison, that if callers call in, hopefully you have a question, but we are offering these cookbooks to our listeners. Yes. Yeah, this is the original one. Well, you're gonna have you're gonna have to call in and have a good question. Well, what's your question? Oh, good questions. So I don't know neighbors if you heard that. Check it out. We've got the original recipe cookbook from Bob Ellison. I'm looking at it right now. It is 62 pages. Well, that's what the notes there's 59 pages. I'm looking at things like scallop potatoes au gratin okra with onion batter corn popsicle. Free Ollie's. Am I saying that right. For your for your lease. I don't know. That's a Spanish I think for beans for Jolie's Well, there's a lot in here guys. There's a ton in here. I'm telling you. Steak, Diane. Oh, this one sounds great. Actually, stay.
Unknown Speaker 11:32
That's an old school awesome, awesome recipe I know that one
Speaker 1 11:37
pound stakes between two pieces of wax paper until they are half inch thick. dredge the stakes in flour with salt and pepper. In large skillet melt one tablespoon butter and add steaks brown one minute each side. Remove steaks to platter spread both sides with hot mustard and sprinkle with one teaspoon of worse just your sauce. Then put the steaks aside. In same skillet melt remaining butter add mushrooms and onion or shallot saute for two minutes. Add remaining words just your sauce and Boolean cooking stir until boiling then add meat to skill it reheat meat about two minutes then add brandy and flame. Who? Yeah. Ah, this is so it looks like that's, that could be one of them. And especially since it could be grilling time I think today. I was watching. So my neighbors was grilling.
Unknown Speaker 12:38
Yep, it is the season has started.
Speaker 1 12:40
Did you break out the grill? Jennifer? No, no,
Unknown Speaker 12:43
no. I'm still talking to big game. Oh. No, today could be the day that some chicken at home could turn into supper on the grill.
Speaker 1 12:57
Sure. I mean, when you have a grill people, you can do many things, right? You can cook so many different variety of things. And it's a great way to cook because you're not using a lot of oils and greases to try to you know, give them the moisture they need. But there's nothing like the fresh taste of grilling outside so people support our local stores and get your meat from local providers if you can. You know, that's one thing that we've been talking about on our show is like where do you get your Where do you source your products that you cook with? Right. And we've talked a couple different places we love going to Eastern Market. Eastern markets always got something great. They've got meat, meat facilities all around the market. I don't know how many of our Ask the neighbor listeners go to the Eastern Market on a regular but if you haven't gone for a while, I would recommend especially with the weather breaking and it's a great way to spend the day find some produce. Now is Eastern Market open during the week.
Unknown Speaker 14:07
I
Unknown Speaker 14:08
would have to look online to verify that I know for certain it's open Saturday, and that's food day to me. Yeah. And then Sunday. I believe the market is open as well. And that's more like vendors wares. And like I'm trying to think I've seen antique stuff there that just comes in you know, just for that day. But I don't know what goes on during the week. I can't imagine that it that large spaces on unutilized.
Speaker 1 14:37
Yeah, I think there's something going on. I want to say Tuesday's that they do like a small market.
Unknown Speaker 14:43
I feel like you're right.
Speaker 1 14:44
Yeah. So we have a caller that's calling in. It's Dr. biter. Dr. biter is a psychologist. That is I met actually at one of the Men's Health events that was at the Ford Field. So it was this huge men's health event and I met Dr. biter there. Hello, Dr. John biter. How are you?
Unknown Speaker 15:13
Hey, Daniel, I'm great. How
Speaker 1 15:15
about yourself? Excellent, excellent. You're on the show called Ask the neighbor. And you're with Jennifer and myself. And we discuss all kinds of things that people might ask the neighbor here on the show, Dr. And I know you're a psychologist, and you work on a lot of different projects. Today is, we're the first. It's a one year since our first Corona case was identified here in Michigan. And I just want like a little bit of feedback from what maybe you have felt from some of the people that you've talked to have What have people experienced during this time?
Unknown Speaker 15:56
Well, I think a lot of people weren't ready for the isolation that came along with the pandemic. So they weren't really prepared. You hadn't been working from your home, and you were more apt to be, you know, socially intertwined in your organization, things like that. I think it's been a lot more difficult for you. And then also, I think, for families, it's been really stressful because now not only do you have to do your job, but now you have to make sure that you're especially if your children are, you know, school age, you've got to make sure that they're getting on their zoom calls and getting the class and so far. So I think it's been a stressful time for a lot of people.
Speaker 1 16:35
Yeah, I know. And I know you work in, you have a lot of different, some different projects you work with, with the schools. Um, tell us a little bit about that project that you're working on with the schools and what kind of techniques that you use?
Unknown Speaker 16:53
Sure, yeah, thanks for that opportunity to talk about this. If I could point your listeners to our website happy dot life at ha PPE. By the way, we phonetically pronounce happy life. We actually are providing all of our programs for free at the current time, there's a generous benefactor from Pittsburgh who's funding all of our programs. Oh, so that's,
Speaker 1 17:17
can we can we see the website one more time so all of our listeners can get it clearly. And I can repeat it as well. It's h a p p e,
Unknown Speaker 17:26
dot life,
Speaker 1 17:28
life h a p p e dot life, folks. Okay, let's continue. So we
Unknown Speaker 17:34
we provide you, the parents can sign up, the student can sign up, we challenge the kids with a weekly mission, I'm possible challenge. So it's a social, emotional or be a mental health. And so our, our first month is usually around kindness and connection. So we challenge you even during, you know, the lockdown times to basically find ways to interact with other people, and bring joy to their life as well as your own. And then we also created this, I'll call her the equivalent of a Disney Pixar character named Ellie. And we're teaching children. And I'll say I actually have a lot of adults or youth program too, because we had 1000 people sign up the first day of its launch.
Speaker 1 18:26
Amazing, congrats. Thanks, thanks. But
Unknown Speaker 18:29
it's to teach people the most effective stress reduction anxiety management technique on the planet. It's free. It's called Emotional Freedom Techniques, its nickname is tapping. And our character le teaches you how to do it real simply.
Speaker 1 18:45
So and I'm familiar with that a little bit in you know, I think a lot of our folks, Jennifer, are you familiar with tapping? Maybe not, um, but tell us a little bit about how it works, doctor.
Unknown Speaker 19:03
Okay, so it's, um, it's considered psychological acupuncture without the needle. Okay, so you're gonna touch Meridian parts on your, your hand, your face, and your your breastbone and your under arm, your pin the top of your head. And there's a sequence that you go through, and Ellie will walk you through that sequence to show you how it's done. And people get instant relief from it by just doing it and so I have a lot of people who use it to start their day or if they're having a really anxious episode during the day they take a timeout and just do a little tapping. So it's literally using your index and middle finger and tapping on specific points. So you'll start out on the side of your hand, and then you move to the eyebrow point and then you move to the side of the eye below the eye your mustache point your chin point, your collarbone under Your arm and then the top of your head. And then we'll be talking to you Wow, that you're tapping those areas. And it definitely helps reduce anxiety. And you don't need to do it all the time. But it is a self administered technique. And it's kind of like, a I need this now. So you have it available to you.
Speaker 1 20:19
What, um, tell us a little bit about the efficacy of this, compared to other ways to help you with anxiety. I mean, is it pretty effective? Yeah, I
Unknown Speaker 20:30
mean, it's, you know, they've, it has 20 years worth of research. And actually, our our group is partnered with Dr. Peter Stapleton, out of Gold Coast, Australia, who's considered one of the world's leading researchers in this field. And so Dr. Pierre Stapleton is one who is actually the voice of Alli, when you, when you look at her, okay, you'll hear, you'll hear her voice. But the research, you know, I just said 20 years, and they've run it against what they call the gold standards, like cognitive behavioral therapy. And what they found with ESP was is that a year later, it was still as effective as when it was in the beginning. And so with cognitive behavioral therapy, it's, and I'm not trying to, you know, downplay that, because it certainly works for a lot of people. But when they did the, you know, the clinical comparisons to the two, it didn't take as long. And for the consumer, it didn't cost as much money because you didn't need as many sessions and and you couldn't learn it on your own so that you couldn't do it on your own. Right, without a therapist.
Speaker 1 21:39
Well, it's just fascinating to me, this technique, because, I don't know, I mean, like, for so many years, you know, even to Labatt dummies, right? I mean, people have treated people with mental illness in so many different ways. And now with advances of using historical types of tactics like acupuncture and kind of coming up with this, who came up with this originally doctor,
Unknown Speaker 22:10
I am not gonna be able to quote it was a gentleman, a psychologist in California, of course, and. And he was the one who got it all started. And Nick and Jessica Ortner. Actually, they're not practicing psychologist, but they've taken it to a whole new level, they create an app called The Tapping Solution. So you can download that for free on your phone. And that's how they've introduced it. They run worldwide summits on may actually one just completed here the other day, and they had 650,000 people sign up. It's a free Summit. And it teaches people how to, you can use tapping for anxiety, you can use it for pain management, you can use it for stress. And you know, and what's funny is like if you if you don't want Dr. Stapledon. 's website, she'll talk to you about how she came across, tapping, and it's a really funny story. But for her, she used to run weight loss clinics in Gold Coast, Australia, and one of her colleagues introduced her to the technique, and she kind of poo pooed it from the beginning, until she saw it actually happening with somebody who had like a major meltdown. And her colleague took the person aside and within five minutes, brought her back and she was fine. So that got her interest. And then she attended a workshop. And then she used not that she had to but she used it to give up chocolate. And she'll tell you that ever since that workshop that she took, she hasn't had a piece of chocolate, like for 17 or 18 years. So it was like the efficacy of it was like amazing. Yeah. And they were using it then for weight loss. And she brought it into the university and they thought, you know, maybe 50 People would sign up, you know, just to kind of learn it. And the very first workshop they opened 5000 people signed up. They're like, okay, it's obviously got a lot of people's interest. Yeah. And it works. It
Speaker 1 24:18
just shows you I think what our world is experiencing. And you know, many people have tried different types of therapies and pills, treatments and what have you. But coming back to something natural, like this is really fascinating. Jennifer, do you have anything that you might like to ask Dr. biter?
Unknown Speaker 24:40
No, but I'm thrilled to hear you on the show. I have also heard of tap in and I'm just, it's great. I mean, what an self empowering thing I can think of a few people myself included, who could benefit from that. And to your point, free of charge is an added bonus. Oh, sure,
Speaker 1 25:00
especially now if we can use these things for anxiety and fear and what have you.
Unknown Speaker 25:05
Yeah, I love the concept of self healing and self soothing, too. That's really powerful. So I'm gonna, I can't wait to hop on the website.
Speaker 1 25:15
Yeah, happy dot life h a p p e dot life. And you can use it for free, according to Dr. Beiter. Here, and then there's the Tapping Solution that you can also get to. But my question currently is Dr. Beiter? What about youth and children? Are you are you positioning the program for our youth?
Unknown Speaker 25:44
Originally, the program started actually, in the corporate world, I used it as a leadership development tool for groups to work more collaboratively together. And then I kind of saw the benefits to children. And then I had an experience with with a teenager, based on a book that I read, not not not regarding to tapping, but this is really what kind of got things started. For me, it was a book written back in the 1980s by John Key Whoa, called mind power. And this young lady actually was able to stop safe. Now apart from doing something that she basically realized that she had control over. And when, when that changed, that really kind of lit me up. And then I really wanted to, I wanted to know what what happened to children, if they had the opportunity to be exposed to these tools at a very young age, and how their lives might be different. And that's kind of the birth of it all. And that's where the mission, I'm possible video series started, because we wanted kids to know that, you know, you are possible, and that there, and we're going to provide you with tools, like, I'm nothing against the schools, but you know, obviously, we've all been there. And you know, the concentration has been around facts for years and formulas. And I wanted to be able to provide tools that will help them with life skills, you know, mental health, you know, social and emotional connections, you know, working on developing stronger relationships. And so that's, that's really where we targeted and there was like, we've had worked with some wonderful teachers, and the teachers I feel have been our biggest champions, like, you know, working with some teachers literally around the globe, and how they reached out to us and said, Listen, we're trying to make a difference for our students lives beyond the classroom. And we are really embracing your program. And so we got involved working basically hand in hand with some of the schools so that was kind of cool.
Speaker 1 27:52
So are yet are the results of the are the results after young students or teenagers start doing the tapping program? Are their grades better, I'm assuming their grades would be better if their relationships are better, and they feel better about themselves.
Unknown Speaker 28:08
Yeah, and, again, Dr. Peter Stapledon, created a course for teachers called tapping in the classroom, so the teachers could learn it, and then bring it into the classroom. And imagine doing a tapping session before you take a test, like you said, right, right, you make better decisions, when you're calm and relaxed, and you're gonna, you're gonna make less errors on the test. So, you know, that's one way to do it. The other thing is just kind of looking at subjective well being, and how that can improve by, you know, helping them get a better view of their life, creating better relationships in their life, that type of thing.
Speaker 1 28:45
And so, this, you would recommend this for like a high school student to use this program.
Unknown Speaker 28:54
It's been more geared towards middle school middle, you know, but some of the, some of the students we work with said by this program would benefit anybody. Anybody who wanted to try it, right, you know, so why not, why not, you have nothing to lose, and really everything to gain.
Speaker 1 29:11
And that's the target though that middle school area, there's so many complications with, with, you know, as the children hit puberty, and they're going through all these changes, and they're trying to act like an adult, but they don't really know what that is. And they can be mean and they can be mean to themselves. And then the social media around us is always feeling like we're being judged or being compared to others. So I could see that in middle school as being a great tool to help with some of the anxiety and stress that we feel.
Unknown Speaker 29:49
When one one last thing I'd like to share with you about the program and this is when you know, there are no more lockdown restrictions and you can interact easily but one of the most effective Part of our program is one that the teachers do with the students every day. So first period of every new school day, it's called The Happiness Advantage, we like to call it the happiness habit, because once you keep doing it, it becomes a habit. But how it works is the teachers get gets the students to stand up and partner with one of their classmates that they haven't partnered with. So the idea is, though, eventually partner with every one of their classmates, then she has been closed her eyes and follow three breaths in and out, then she tells them when they're done to open their eyes. And then she tells him, I'll look at your partner, and tell them the nicest thing you can say about them. And then share with your partners, three things that you're grateful for in this moment. And then they sit down, it takes about 90 seconds. But the feedback that we received on that little exercise every day was amazing. I think these kids were, we're looking forward to doing it. So if the teachers even missed, they would be reminded by the student, Hey, you didn't let us do our Happiness Advantage. Oh, but that the idea was to give them what they call what the Harvard scientist said, if you do these five things for 21 days, you'll you'll be happier and all and ultimately be more productive and successful. So when she got the kids to stand up, this was a little bit weak, but the tap of squat, so that's the exercise, when she had them close their eyes and follow three breaths in, that's a meditation. When they said the nice thing to their classmates, that was the random act of kindness. When they shared what they were grateful for, obviously, that's the three things are grateful for, and then there have a positive experience each day. And we our belief was that that hearing something said to you that's nice about yourself was your positive experience for the day. So we, we were able to start their day off with that. And I'm telling you and I and companies that when I did that, this is a great way to start a meeting. Yeah. So you're not anxious or contentious or you know, want to go in Branson?
Speaker 1 32:00
90 seconds isn't a lot of time to invest in yourself, folks. You know, if you could do that every morning. That sounds like something I need. I don't know about you, Jennifer, what do you think?
Unknown Speaker 32:12
Yeah, I think it just makes so much sense. It's a way to kind of shift the paradigm. And I know personally, from when I when I do take the time to be grateful or think about all the things for which I'm grateful. It just It shifts everything I when I write them down, I and I look back at them. I mean, there's so much to be grateful for. And if I don't take note of that sometimes life writ large kind of gets overwhelming. So I think it's a beautiful beautiful practice and 90 seconds My goodness, I think any teacher would be able to fit that in especially when you see the benefits
Speaker 1 32:54
I can see that with the teachers if you're listening teachers look at the program happy dot life h a p p e dot life, let's let's get our students being nicer to each other and being grateful. I think we need this in our schools and in our world. Dr. Beiter thank you so much for sharing this today. We appreciate it. I know you're a busy man, we appreciate you calling in. Thank you so much.
Unknown Speaker 33:19
Oh Danko. Thanks so much for having me on. I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 33:21

Work fly.com bid front.com. And bank of Ann Arbor. Thank you to all these folks. Jennifer, I had a question for you. And I was curious on your thoughts here. Regarding air travel. In this situation in today's world, what are our listeners feeling? I wonder what people are feeling right now as far as traveling in this month of March?
Unknown Speaker 41:51
You want my personal opinion, I
Speaker 1 41:52
want you to open? I want you to Yeah, I want your personal opinion. I want people to call in if you've been traveling, give us a call. Let us know what your experiences have been. Would you travel again? Are you going to recommend it? I haven't been traveling. I've been kind of worried. I
Unknown Speaker 42:08
have not either. But boy, is it tantalizing? I mean, the airfares are so low right now. And I've seen opportunities where you can book you know, anytime between now and through the end of 2022 was fully refundable. Caveat in case the situation has not cleared up or in case you can't actually go when you had booked that trip out in the future. So there, you know, the industry is really working hard to get us to entertain flying again, right? I personally have not and I'm not, I'm not comfortable yet I want to get I want to feel that the country is at a tipping point towards herd immunity and that more of us are vaccinated versus less of us. And I think right now we're hovering at around 10% Total vaccination rate. And then there's some correlating percentage of those of us who have had COVID and are therefore, you know, somewhat less at risk. But I would hate to be that person who hopped on a plane and maybe accidentally took it to my parents, for instance.
Speaker 1 43:24
Yeah, it's still really and your parents are. They're not in Michigan, but if you were to go visit them, you'd have to travel there.
Unknown Speaker 43:33
Yeah, it's my parents are in California. So it's, you know, for a solid four hour flight out there and just that circulating air, it just it gives you pause, like we know that COVID has an easier time latching onto us when we're in closed spaces with circulating air. And that's why winter was particularly devastating. Because, you know, we live in the tundra, and it's cold up here, and we all had to be indoors. So yeah, this last now. Give it another minute. Yeah, I want to give it another minute, but I can't wait. I'm an avid traveler, for pleasure and for work. So I look forward to getting back into the regular rhythm.
Speaker 1 44:12
Yeah, and it might not be for a bit it sounds like from what you're kind of telling me I think once we get more vaccines in our people and once we you know, I think see some of that herd immunity start reaching those numbers but at 10% That's a low numbers still from what I understand you got to be at a higher number before you start feeling comfortable. I know some states like today Texas I guess has no mass mandate anymore. So you can walk around anywhere in Texas now with not without a mask and the numbers seem kind of high. Still. I don't know I'm not a doctor. But I'm still a bit afraid to travel you know, to be honest with everyone, if you're out there. If you're a travel in the travel business, if you've been traveling if you want to share some of those stories, give us a holler 248557 3300 You're listening to ask the neighbor, get ahold of us at Ask the neighbor.com we're talking travel, how comfortable you feel about traveling. And I think there's been a huge increase in how people travel there, they're choosing to go the old way by car it seems like a lot of folks are taking that route. Um, you know, instead of taking the airplane there, they're figuring out if this is the way that they want to travel, so like some you know, in there was this trend that was happening that a lot of the younger folks were looking at not buying cars because you know, I live in the city and I can just take an Uber and I don't really need a car, I want to pay the insurance prices I don't want to pay the price of all these things and I can't blame them because we're in a situation where we're unsure and you know, if you want to be efficient, we can be still somewhat efficient, but we got to be careful more than anything. We're gonna go to a song really quick and we'll be back I'll give us a call if you want a cookbook 248557 3300. Moving to the. But no doubt

beautiful. I'm really excited to talk to some administrators about it and get this adopted. It's for all of us. I mean, I'm just focused on my kids right now. But holy cow, I'm going to start doing this too. It's wonderful.
Speaker 1 1:05:30
Yeah, Dr. biter, just an amazing individual. We had him at the beginning half of our first hour on Ask the neighbor, because these are things we can, you know, I love bringing things to our audience that people can do themselves without having to go and spend 1000s and 1000s of dollars for this or that, you know, this is why the show exists. Ask the neighbor because we're going to help you find ways to do things better, more efficiently, and with less headache, and feel better about it. And we're going to bring you some cool dishes that we can talk about all the time. Here's one that's out of the book of Bob, Allison's ask your neighbor recipes. I just like the name of this mushy my Souf. It's a Turkish lamb recipe that's in here. So yeah, she must Souf lightly brown in four quart dutch oven, oven. Dutch oven lamb cubes, add onions, garlic, all spice and cinnamon. Cook until onion is transparent. Add enough water to cover add okra, tomatoes, eggplant, salt and pepper cook covered over low heat two hours serve with rice makes four to five servings. This is one of the recipes, folks, by you calling in today. And asking for one of these recipes. We have one of these recipe books, we will send one out to you. You can give us a call at 248557 3300. That's a gift from Bob Allison. To the listeners here at Ask the neighbor. Thank you for tuning in. So yeah, we're we we've got all kinds of opportunities to help people here. And if anyone's out there that has questions regarding things around the home. They can give us a call. If you have a recipe that you'd want to share with us, that would be great. I know Casey wasn't really willing to share any of her recipes.
Unknown Speaker 1:07:32
But salt on was and so I was just thinking Danko. Maybe you should take it on yourself to compile a v2. Ask the neighbor. Recipe Book. Right. I'm thinking we've got rice pudding covered handily. We've got lemon pie. Yep. Yep, we've got Yeah, the Oh my goodness. I'm getting hungry now thinking about it. Mac and cheese. Last week, yes. Holy cow.
Speaker 1 1:08:06
Yes. That's one of the things that that was kind of maybe our first recipe that came through the pipe.
Unknown Speaker 1:08:14
Um, I think it was that was laid out in such detail. Absolutely. Yeah.
Speaker 1 1:08:18
Ryan, Salter, Ryan, from salt and CO folks. They're opening up a place on Jefferson called bread lists. Check them out their sandwiches or wraps using not bread. But kale, right? Kale. chard. Chard was one of them chicken and chard. I remember, he was talking about. And I'm like thinking, Man, that sounds really great. I just the way it sounds.
Unknown Speaker 1:08:48
Yep. Sounds awesome.
Speaker 1 1:08:49
Now, is there a flavor that the chard has Jennifer that you've noticed that you might not make? Would you like that on a sandwich? Would you eat it like that?
Unknown Speaker 1:08:57
I would. But I love chard. chard is notorious for having a I would. I don't I don't know how to describe it. I, I will say this. I grow chard religiously, because it's gorgeous, and a garden. So like rainbow chard, big tall, dark green vegetable. It's literally mine gets about two to three feet high and these big green leaves that have red veins or yellow veins or white veins. So it's just stunning. And then you cut it down, you know, at the base. So you've got this big sort of fan shaped leaf. And then I roll a bunch of them up tightly, and then I do what's called julienne, which means you cut them on a bias. You end up with these ribbons of chard, and then you end up you also end up with about a foot of stock and the stock is beautiful. That's where you get the red and the white and the yellow and the green reminds me of like, really, really tough. So I cut those into small pieces and I I start the cooking process with those tougher pieces. And I thought, hey, it's just a way for me to get as much butter and garlic into my body as possible. Down and down and down. And then I put the ribbons in with the leaves and add more garlic and more butter. And, you know, you kind of cook a few other things while you're cooking your chart and, ah, so good. Then you got to put I put a little lemon on it when I serve it too. It can have I would call it almost like, to me, it tastes like dirt, but in a very good way. I love things that taste like the earth that they just came out of. So if you squeeze a little fresh lemon on that it can cut some of that kind of biting flavor. And it's it's one of my favorite things. I can't wait. I can't wait to harvest chard.
Speaker 1 1:10:50
Yeah, I mean, it's gonna be a little bit, I mean, but I'm feeling it. Now. I feel like I want to get the rototiller out, I want to start doing some gardening. I want to start preparing for springtime for the summer. And starting the gardens and checking things out outside. It's just so nice to be outside again and looking around and walking around and breathing the air. It's just been great. I know. I've appreciated every single second here that we've had some nice weather after a long winter. And I know I'm not alone. If you're doing some cool things that you want to share, folks, give us a call 248557 3300 I'm your host Danko Sutter offski. With me is Jennifer. We're talking gardens. We're talking home. We're talking food recipes. Hopefully, you can call in and, and contribute. If you have any questions, you can go to the website and put in a question that you might want answered, if you're a little shy. I'm guessing some people out there might be a little shy, Jennifer.
Unknown Speaker 1:11:59
Possibly. But I would say that that's another great thing about the premise of the show is that you can ask a question that you want to ask a neighbor, but you might not want to ask a neighbor in person, you can just throw it out to us, and we can kind of crowdsource it and get you maybe a broader spectrum of answers or right. I love at least look it up.
Speaker 1 1:12:23
I love the that we had a question that came in. That was regarding. Alright, so like let's say your neighbor isn't trimming their bushes along your property line or near you. That was a question we had last week. And I thought, you know, that's a great question. Because how many people think about these things right? All the time is like what is okay to ask a neighbor and what is not okay to ask the neighbor. So like, that's what our show is about. So if you feel a little uneasy about asking your neighbor, give us a call here and we'll ask the neighbor 248557 3300. And we can do that for you. I want to thank one mag.tv for being a sponsor of ours, work fly.com A place where you can put in a service request, or if you're a service provider, you can go in there and put yourself as a provider of service. Unknown Speaker 1:20:35
Hello, how are you call your neighbor?
Speaker 1 1:20:37
Hey, welcome
Unknown Speaker 1:20:41
to your neighbor calling.
Speaker 1 1:20:44
Well, thanks for calling time I understand that you have something that you'd like to sell on Ask the neighbor
Unknown Speaker 1:20:51
right let me let me let me let me tell them what I want to sell. All right. Okay, I've got a boiler which I'm removing from a house that I'm taking down. Okay, boiler is three years old. It's a water boiler 70,000 bt use if you go to Facebook, you can see pictures of the boiler. Yes, the boiler is in very good condition. What I want to do is I need to remove it from the house and I want to sell it to someone because I just don't want to throw the boiler away it's too good to throw away and it's not a regular anybody if anybody's interested in a hot and a hot water boiler This is not a steam boiler. Don't confuse yourself right the hot water boiler or circulating hot water boiler. In my phone number My name is Tom. boiler is my name time it's not boiler time, right and my phone number is 248-909-4367
Speaker 1 1:22:01
But see I want to make sure Tom I want to make sure that everybody a gets your number so that they can call you but also it's not a water boiler. It's a water heater boiler system.
Unknown Speaker 1:22:16
Well it's a what they call it is a hot water boiler a hot
Speaker 1 1:22:19
water boiler. But it's really whatever boiler but what it does it's
Unknown Speaker 1:22:25
heating it isn't it isn't it isn't a hot water tank. It's a hot water boiler.
Speaker 1 1:22:30
And it sends out water heating the whole house folks so like in somehow some of the older homes you have steam that heats the whole house and there's radiator vents in there. This is a water boilers just
Unknown Speaker 1:22:42
as the heating just has the heating fins on the bottom of the on or near the floor. What they do is they heat up the water circulates it goes through the fins and warms the fins and then it comes back to the boiler and reheat it again. Now are these very very efficient it's a very efficient boiler it's made by Comfortmaker I have the serial number and the model number the person buying the boiler can call the company give them the serial number and model number and they'll tell him that the boiler is only about three years old
Speaker 1 1:23:23
yeah and I probably hasn't had much much use at all
Unknown Speaker 1:23:27
no no it was installed and the gentlemen that installed it in the house not me. I bought the hospital this gentleman he paid about $8,000 to have that boiler installed
Speaker 1 1:23:40
Yeah, I'm curious um you know like if I've got a if I've got a smaller house like a two bedroom or smaller three bedroom shotgun ranch or something could I instead of having a furnace put that in here? Sure. Okay,
Unknown Speaker 1:23:56
do you get just the single this thing Oh heat probably heat up heat a house up to about 16 1700 square feet is what the boiler guy told me I'm not a boiler guy but you know it
Speaker 1 1:24:07
sound like a boiler you sound like Wow, no know you sound like you know a lot about heating and boiling Cisco.
Unknown Speaker 1:24:17
You know, I've had this boiler a while so I did a lot of deal a lot of reasons. I've been talking to a lot of boiler people I've called heating and cooling places. I've been called the original the original company that installed it to get information on it it I mean if somebody let's say somebody wants to just to heat their basement or they want to heat a garage or something like that they could install it and you can install this very you know, it's very easy to install all his piping and you have to have those heating, like fins they you know, they're like they look like little air ducts on hanging on the wall.
Speaker 1 1:24:55
I could totally see I could see someone using this in their basement Oh yeah,
Unknown Speaker 1:25:02
it'd be perfect that would take you know if you were in the basement if you have a warm basement that got that gives the rest of the house the heat to write you know cuz you know it warms the floor and everything yeah it's a it's a it's a very efficient it's you can see the picture and Facebook okay it's for sale and if anybody's interested times my name boilers my game boring 909 or 367 I'm let you people you all you neighbors out there I'm electrical All right Tom Thanks. Good Neighbor and find somebody to find my boiler. We are working on it. We're working on time. Thank you. That's be good. There
Speaker 1 1:25:48
you go to 489094367 for the boiler, folks, you can get something good in your house. That's not the furnace type things. Times got the boiler. Tom's demand 248909436 My name
Unknown Speaker 1:26:04
boilers my game.
Speaker 1 1:26:06
Yeah, boilers your game. Alright. Thanks for calling.
Unknown Speaker 1:26:09
I only got one boiler. I only got one game. Hey, Jennifer,
Speaker 1 1:26:12
any questions for Tom? Good. Jennifer, are you good neighbor, you I'm going
Unknown Speaker 1:26:25
to try to be a good neighbor. I don't know that I am. How to help. Let's pretend I want to buy this boiler, which I don't. So don't get too
Speaker 1 1:26:32
caught up. It's time to head the goal. But go on with the question. I'll see what I can do.
Unknown Speaker 1:26:36
I'm just curious. Is it in the basement of a home? And how would it get removed from that basement? And maybe I'm you know, building the bridge before the road? But
Speaker 1 1:26:46
it's a great question. It is in the basement right now. Um, but I think Tom could accommodate bringing it out of the basement and you know, pick up at, yeah, regular height, you know, ground level, I know that the house is being being taken down. They're gonna put some other homes there where the house is. But you know, I was there at the house. It's in Troy. And it's got a lot of good things that people might be able to use from it. That's one of them. And you know, it's just a good idea. Sorry,
Unknown Speaker 1:27:23
yeah, no, the idea of heating with water just sounds so much more appealing, right? You know, this, like the moisture over the winter. I don't know how your hands are. But my hands are dry, dry, obviously, Corona, and because we're all washing and using alcoholic antiseptics and whatnot. But just that moisture throughout the winter is so good for your furniture and your skin and your house plants. So I'd love to have that boiler. I don't. I don't need it. But it sure sounds good.
Speaker 1 1:27:55
It sure does. Folks, you could give Tom a call if you're interested in the boiler 248994367. These are the things that we talked about. Because there might be somebody that might be out there that wants to install this boiler heater heater boiler. A lot of folks out there might have some questions regarding it or what they might want to do with it. I was even thinking I bet you you could even retrofit this boiler to be like a heating system under your floor. You know how they have those? Oh, yeah, right. So you put that on and then you can heat the bottom of your floor through I think this this is one way and people can get creative I think with this boiler and you know, so maybe they can do that. And give it a whirl. You're listening to ask the neighbor. I'm your host Danko Souter offski. We're in our second hour of production so far today. It's Wednesday, March 10. It is the anniversary of the first Corona case in Michigan. boy what a year it has been give us a call if you're interested in a recipe book if you want to share a recipe if you have any questions about your home that you might have some ideas for the springtime for others to share with give us a call that's what being a good neighbor is all about. 248557 3300 We're gonna go to a song for you really quick
Unknown Speaker 1:29:27

We've talked all kinds of things this last week and this week. And as we prep here for Are springtime, we're going to have different folks calling in and advising us about what to do what not to do to our homes, with our food with our family, we had a guest earlier that I think Jennifer and I both really enjoyed Dr. Beiter. And is happy dot life system where you can actually tap your way to a peaceful state. And I love it for kids. I just love it for the kids, that they are able to do that themselves. And it works for everybody. So if you're a caller out there that would like to submit a question or talk to us about some things that are happening around your neighborhood. Give us a call 248557 3300. Jennifer, what else is going on today? What are your plans for the rest of this beautiful day?
Unknown Speaker 1:35:56
Well, honestly, I'm going to run Doritos, and the why can't I think of the name of the restaurant? I'm going to
Speaker 1 1:36:03
follow Bob. Again. Kebab Island Island. Food? Yeah, yes, yes, yes.
Unknown Speaker 1:36:14
Yeah, no, I can shwarma sounds really good. That lentil dish that you defined? Very well earlier. Sounds really good. I just look forward to that. And then you know, we were talking about gardening earlier, I want to reiterate that if we can hold off on tearing up the soil just yet, it's beneficial for our friendly bugs and bees and worms, if we can just wait until the soil temperature is at about 50. And we're a few weeks away from that. So
Speaker 1 1:36:48
tell us a little bit. What does that mean exactly? What's what's happening with the bugs,
Unknown Speaker 1:36:53
all the bugs and worms and stuff that have overwintered in the you know, the top layers of the soil and in the gardening, you know, detritus that was left like I leave all my flowers and stuff, it looks a hot mess. But I do it on purpose, because those bugs and bees and the birds to have someplace to go forage and kind of come out of hibernation. So that's, they really need that a few days of a few weeks, actually of being able to re acclimate to 50 degree or so weather. So if we can resist the urge to get the roto Tiller out and the hoe and the shovel and just give them a few minutes of peace to get out and get flying around. Yeah, it's better for all of us.
Speaker 1 1:37:39
Well, I mean, one thing I don't know if everyone's aware of this, but there's a pretty serious bee problem in our, in our, in our world in our country, you know, where we don't have as many bees as we used to have to pollinate. Yeah. So that's a great tip to help everyone understand that if we can all do our part, um, you know, with our insects with our our bugs to support not only yourself, but your neighbor too, right. When you do that, it pollinates everything and you're creating a good environment for that. I mean, I know that there's been some bee populations that have not been able to make it through some of these tough times. And I don't know if there's someone out there that can school us a little bit better on what the situation is with bees. But on our very Detroit show, we had a couple different folks that were in the bee business like bees in the D, where they have different beehives on a actual on top of rooftops in the city and all over the place. They're harvesting so these in the bee, no B's in the D. B's in the D. So a couple guys started that operation up and they were on very Detroit, you can check that out. Very detroit.com. Or if you want to access any of the past shows for very Detroit, you can go to soundcloud.com forward slash very Detroit. You're listening to ask the neighbor, you can give us a call at 248557 3300. And you could hit us up with any question you're thinking for the home, the house, food. Anything that Jennifer and I can handle or one of our neighbors can handle we will definitely get back to you. If you call and you have a question or you just want a cookbook give us a call. We've got some cookbooks from Bob Ellison ask your neighbor program, and you could give us a call for those 248557 3300 So we miss Casey, I know Casey's been busy. Right now, our phone number is 248557 3300. And we just love to connect people up. That's the premise of our show is to connect the conversation that can actually help the neighbor. Ask the neighbor calm. Ask the neighbor is our show. Thank you, everyone for tuning in. We've got a caller right now. It's Alice from Ortonville. Hello, Alice.
Unknown Speaker 1:40:48
Hello. Hello. Good morning. Good
Speaker 1 1:40:50
morning. Welcome to the show. Thank you for calling in.
Unknown Speaker 1:40:53
Well, thank you. I was calling just to say hello. Hello. I was a very long time listener to ask your neighbor. Oh, so I would occasionally check the station to see you know what was going on, in hopes that we could all get back together again, somehow. So it was really nice to hear your voice. Oh, thanks. I've been listening for a couple of days. How long have you? When did you start?
Speaker 1 1:41:23
We started? Yeah, we just started last Monday, March 1, we figured we'd start at the beginning of the month and kind of started all right there. And it's been only about one weekend. Three days. Exactly. So
Unknown Speaker 1:41:40
I'm glad I found you.
Speaker 1 1:41:42
So you catch us pretty clear in Ortonville. Well, I
Unknown Speaker 1:41:45
listened to you on through Alexa.
Speaker 1 1:41:47
Oh, through Alexa. Okay. Yeah, that's good to know. Because there's a lot of statistics out there that some people are like, Well, how do I catch that show? Yeah, we we stream all over the online world through many different programs. Alexa? Actually, so you say Alexa? W NZK? Or do you say Alexa? 690 am or?
Unknown Speaker 1:42:10
Either way? It works either way? Yep. And then I think they had it brought to me through tune in, I believe, okay. But I get it because it's, you know, it's streaming. It's very, very clear. I know. In in the past and the other show, a lot of listeners were directly listening on the radio, and sometimes there will be static or, you know, but they they just worked through the static because no one wanted to miss that show.
Speaker 1 1:42:43
Yeah, for sure. Alice, could we um, is it? Would it be okay for it? Would you like one of the cookbooks?
Unknown Speaker 1:42:50
Oh, I would love one. I don't have any of the cookbooks I only have the menu minders. So that would be wonderful. All right,
Speaker 1 1:42:56
I'm gonna have DJ Mike Chubb, CO. When we let you go off, stay on the line. And we're gonna get your address, and we'll send you one of these books. But before that, I wanted to ask you, and maybe Jennifer has a question, too, is what? What did you like about the show? What did it do for you? I'm just kind of curious getting some feedback. And what would you like to see this show? Do more of?
Unknown Speaker 1:43:21
What did I like about the show? The show was charming. And there were a lot of regular callers. A lot of questions, and then I would like to explain it this way. I mean, I was listening for a year. Yeah. So we got together to meet everyone. I think there were about 80 of us that got together. Okay. And I explained to Bob, and that I, I thought of his show as the original Google. And what I meant by that was that you would ask a question, and you would get just numerous answers. And it could be you know, it was recipes. It was a lot of recipes. A lot of household hands. Yeah, it was charming.
Speaker 1 1:44:16
Yeah, that's good to hear. They
Unknown Speaker 1:44:17
might say about your show. I'm just digging your choice of music. I love it.
Speaker 1 1:44:21
Oh, thank you. Well, thank you DJ Chubb cup for that he's been a big help. We try to implement a few different songs, you know, that are not too wild. But you know, this is still daytime. So thanks for all those great comments. Alice, I'm gonna let you give your address to DJ Trumka. And we'll, we'll get one of these cookbooks out to you.
Unknown Speaker 1:44:44
Well, I appreciate that. And I enjoy listening. I will stay tuned.
Speaker 1 1:44:47
Thank you so much. And please feel free call in anytime. We appreciate. Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Alice. Alright, that was Alice from Ortonville, a longtime listener of the Former program ask your neighbor, and now gave us some really nice positive feedback for Ask the neighbor calm. The original Google. How do you like that? Jennifer?
Unknown Speaker 1:45:12
I love it. Right. Thank you. She just put it so well. I mean, I've been trying to say that kind of phrase for the past week thinking about what it is we're doing. It's kind of stream of consciousness.
Speaker 1 1:45:27
Consciousness. Yes.
Unknown Speaker 1:45:29
We have covered some diverse territory Danko. So yeah, that's, that's very Googley. I love it. Yeah. Comparison. It's quite a compliment,
Speaker 1 1:45:38
is a compliment. And you know, what's nice is that the listener participation, and that's what we're trying to do here is, because a lot of folks the show, this time slot was not there for a little bit. We are here now, though. And we hope to regain all the listeners and more, because of what we're doing is a little bit different. You know, we will never be, what it was and who it was. It's a, we're something different. Ask the neighbor. But we appreciate all that has been accumulated over the years that w NZK. And 690 Am was able to do is share and connect all these folks. You know, I think that's rare in media today, that there's a local vibe that you can actually connect with that you can actually get answers from, and am radio, I think, does that in so many different ways gives us a solution to the clutter that's out there. And when you get on FM, it's just like everything is screaming at you every stations ad after ad after ad after ad. This is refreshing. This is am radio. This is I think what our youth want, and our elders want, you know, millennials happen to be one of the biggest audio absorbers in history, through podcasts and through radio. So folks, if you're a sponsor out there, and you're like, hey, we'd really like to connect with your audience. Give us a call here or go to the website, ask the neighbor.com and become one of our sponsors support the local community support the neighborhood vibe. You know, there's a lot of questions on our neighbor's minds right now. And especially since we're I was listening to some financial news, you know, the NASDAQ's been going back and forth. Lumber prices are are escalating gas prices are escalating. You know, there this is a time where I feel our neighbors have questions. Our neighbors are looking to connect. We've been isolated. Like our first guest, Dr. biter mentioned for a long time we didn't expect it. This was the first day. Last year, one year anniversary of the first case of Coronavirus found in Michigan. We are one year out from that date. And I can't believe it's been a year it's blows my mind. So Jennifer, any thoughts on that? Like how did your year go so far?
Unknown Speaker 1:48:23
Yeah, it's been, you know, the homeschooling or not homeschooling, whatever the right phrase is, I call it homeschooling because I'm home with them.
Speaker 1 1:48:32
Right? But yeah, pretty much.
Unknown Speaker 1:48:35
Last year, I
Unknown Speaker 1:48:36
pulled my daughter out, even before the governor advisor because, you know, listening to like you're saying listening to the radio, and just I had friends, a lot of friends on the West Coast who were really keyed into the virus before we were necessarily out here in the upper Midwest. So I remember pulling my daughter out, she was like, one terrible, you go and you go to school? And I was like, No, right. And then the next week, you know, we went on the pretty serious quarantine. And now, you know, I think it's time that kids are going to go back on the 15th, which I think is next Monday. And they're very, very eager to get back and I see why. I mean, the isolation has been taken an extreme toll. And I think, you know, my kids just feel like they're floating. They just there's no connectivity. There's no Hey, Mom, I'm going to hop on my bike and ride down to Susie's house and we're going to go see a movie like that was my high school. That was your high school. And I look forward to returning to as much normalcy as we can safely getting our kids socializing again. Hey,
Speaker 1 1:49:56
we've got um, that's that's what we need to do. And that's what this shows about. Jennifer, so thank you for being a participant in helping us get this launched. We appreciate you. Thank you so much. We've got a caller coming in from it's Matt from Toledo. Hello, Matt. Yeah. Good morning. Welcome from Toledo. Well,
Unknown Speaker 1:50:16
actually, I'm a Michigan okay, I use the term Michigan and I thought that was the one that won the vote maybe 15 years ago, Michigan, Michigan, but everybody's adapted Michiganders, so
Speaker 1 1:50:29
Oh, Jennifer, you like, Yeah,
Unknown Speaker 1:50:32
I like gander. Because I think it sounds funny.
Unknown Speaker 1:50:37
See me like, you know, when they had the mirror when they had the vote, I don't know how long ago you can go back. But it seems like they had a contest or an election or whatever it was in Michigan in one. And but yeah, they never adopted that. It seems like they just want to use Michigander. But anyway, I'm in Toledo right now because I just pulled up. I'm gonna be entering the casino in a few minutes. Oh, good luck in there. Good luck.
Speaker 1 1:51:09
You can hear us clearly down in Toledo.
Unknown Speaker 1:51:13
Yeah, I could. Yeah. Oh, good.
Speaker 1 1:51:16
Hello, shout out to Ohio. One of my you know, favorite neighboring states.
Unknown Speaker 1:51:21
There you go. Yeah, no. Anyway, the reason for my call was I wanted to talk about some food. And one of the things are that my two favorite ethnic type foods are Thai and Indian. You know, I'm a Polish extraction and I love Polish food. But you know, I've had it on my life. I seem to have my question is one of the places that I go to, you know, just has carry out I was wondering if it either of you know, any Thai restaurants that are good that are open for sit down? Or Indian also So
Speaker 1 1:52:03
good question. I know that there is a excellent Indian restaurant on 15 mile and maple I believe. And yeah,
Unknown Speaker 1:52:16
I think I've I don't know the name offhand. But I think I know what you're talking about. Yeah,
Speaker 1 1:52:20
that's a great place. If any place is open. I think that one probably we're gonna check on those things, Matt. And we're gonna keep that posted. Hopefully, we'll get some feedback here in a little bit. But you're right up on my alley about Thai and Indian food I love the different variety of that. Folks if you know of Indian or Thai restaurants that are open that we can share with Matt in the next seven minutes, let us know. And one tomorrow or tomorrow or tomorrow? We will get that information by by tomorrow for sure. Matt.
Unknown Speaker 1:52:58
And you know one of the things that I really like about Indian foods are during the day they have their they always almost always had buffets and I don't know if that's going to be a thing of the past or what because you know, I'm a casino goer and I know that all the casinos I attend all have their buffets shut down and I don't know the reason for the shutdown. I don't know whatever we're gonna you know, be open because I don't think things are gonna change that much.
Speaker 1 1:53:26
Right. I don't know that the buffet. I love the buffet too. You know, in a matter of fact. Priya is the is the restaurant I'm thinking of on Maple. Okay, on 15 mile I think Illinois, their pre I believe is what it's called. There was one
Unknown Speaker 1:53:41
in Dearborn on Michigan Avenue that open for a while. And I guess you know, they suffered because of the lack of attendance and they're now it's up for sale the building is so I think it was peacock Golden Peak or just peacock. It was on Michigan Avenue around Schaefer. And that didn't mean I never I never had a chance to go there. But
Speaker 1 1:54:03
Peacock, and I think that's his golden or just peacock. Or another
Unknown Speaker 1:54:08
word before Peacock, but evidently it didn't make it.
Speaker 1 1:54:12
Well. I love Thai food and Indian food. And that's one of the best things here. And you know what we have Casey on the line. Casey, are you there? Hello, Casey. Hi. Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. Welcome to Ask the neighbor. We have Matt from Toledo on the line. We've got Jennifer with us. Matt's curious if anyone knows have open Thai restaurants or Indian restaurants that he can go to? And I don't know if you know there's
Unknown Speaker 1:54:41
a great one. Yeah, there's a great one right there on orchard Lake. On it's called Indian flavors. It's great. We just had some Indian food from there last week.
Speaker 1 1:54:50
Oh, there you go. Man. One we got one Indian. Oh, that must
Unknown Speaker 1:54:54
be that must be right next door or near Krishna. I used to go to Krishna on Wednesday they had exactly their their buffet was fabulous. And it was the price was reduced on Wednesdays. I know but I don't think that they offer it anymore. So, but this place is open for sit down
Speaker 1 1:55:21
Casey Hello, Casey. Oh, we might have lost her might have dropped off. We'll do some we'll do some investigation. Matt. Meanwhile, in we appreciate your commentary here. We're kind of wrapping at the end of the show. calling in for Toledo. I love it. Thank you for doing that. Also, can I possibly get a cookbook? Yeah, almost gonna put you on hold to get your address to send you one.
Unknown Speaker 1:55:48
I'm like I told the screener. I'm from Michigan, but I just happen to go to the Toledo casino rather than Detroit.
Speaker 1 1:55:56
