August 5th: Thursday at 8:30pm ( Bonfire and Talk ) located at 13181 Moran St, Detroit [ Soundhouse ] [ Power House Productions ]

August 7th: Saturday ( 4pm to 7pm) backyard salads

Herb of the Day: Motherwort ( tincture or teas ) : use leaves, flowers and stems load into a jar make like a fairy bed, then use 100 proof alcohol and wait 6 weeks. Then use 10 drops for emotional and or anxiety. It also helps with blood pressure and inflammation

Recipe Shared: Shaker Lemon Coconut Pie

Ingredients: 1 1/4 cup sugar, 2 Tbls Flour, 1/8tsp salt, 1/4 cup soft butter, 3 eggs, 1 cup packed shredded coconut, 1/2 cup water, 2 tbls grated lemon rhine, 1/3 cup lemon juice ( or juice of 2 lemons ) and 9 inch pie shell with a crust ( pillsbury )

Method: Preheat oven to 400*, Mix ( sugar, flour, and salt ) then blend in the butter. In a separate bowl 3 eggs and beat thoroughly. Add sugar mix and blend well. Add the coconut ( chop up a little finer ), Mix in ( water, lemon, rhine ) Pour into pie shell and bake ( 30 to 35 min ) or until lightly brown. Slice and eat.
