Music Clocks
TWO PRINCIPLES TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT MUSIC CATEGORIES
There are critical principles to understand when using the music category system within DHD.
1) You must assign music to a category BEFORE you schedule the category to play.
2) The fewer songs in a category, the more likely it will play the same song. If you want a wider variety of songs to play, add a sufficient number of files to the category.
3) No more than 1000 songs per category.
HOW TO CREATE A MUSIC CLOCK SCHEDULE

HOW TO CREATE A MUSIC CLOCK FOR USING WITH A TRAFFIC FILE
In order to merge a 3rd party Traffic schedule file, it is necessary to create holes in the Music clock so that the Traffic file will fill the gaps. The start times for both the Clock and Traffic file MUST sync up, or it will not function properly.
FBREAK events are used as a time place holder at the beginning & ending of the break for importing Traffic into the clock.
In an automation hour the FBREAK event will be ignored and the following events will start at the eom time of the previous event.
Events (TBREAKs, Source Switcher Events) and content (such as music & liners) will fill the Clock.
Scheduling>Create
New Clock
Select FBREAK in Event menu
Add start time for FBREAK of first break
Add FBREAK
Add a start time for the 2nd FBREAK that will close out the spot set.
Repeat above steps for every break in the hour
