• Turn ON network discovery

• Turn ON file and printer sharing

• If there are older PCs on your network, Enable file sharing for devices that us 40-  or 56-bit encryption. If not, leave as default.

• Turn OFF password protected sharing

Prevent Windows from downloading updates:

1. Click on Connected Network on right hand side.

2. Private network profile selected

3. Metered Connection turned ON

This is a preventative measure. It will stop non-essential updates until you decide to update manually.
