Record an audio file or select an existing audio file.
Select a begin and end mark for the audio file (single block edit).
Auto-level the file to its maximum volume.
Compress the audio file to the station standard format.
Save the edited file to the Library Manager, Network Audio Distribution screen.
To view: Right click ~ Open image in new tab.
CHOOSE RECORD SOURCE
Click on Setup>Set Record Source
Select Sound Card to record on
click on Set Default Button
And then click on OK.
CHOOSE RECORD FORMAT
Click on Setup>Set Encode Format
Click on Yes.
Select Format & Attributes
Click on OK
To view: Right click ~ Open image in new tab.

The recording will then be displayed in the edit window.
WAVEFORM/BAR VIEW & DISPLAY SIZE
View audio as waveform or bar graphic.
Three buttons on the right side under the waveform display select the size of the graphic waveform display window:

AUTO-LEVEL
Automatically adjust the audio file to the MAX digital level without distortion. This is useful for creating a consistent audio level for all files in the Library.
AUTO-TRIM ~ Automatically trim silence from the start and end of the audio file.
It CANNOT determine the difference between an audio artifact and noise. It may be necessary to manually set a Begin or End mark to trim noise from the end of a file.
To view : Right click ~ Open image in new tab
Mark Beginning:
LEFT click on the waveform
End Mark:
RIGHT click on the waveform anywhere AFTER the begin mark
Loop Scrubbing:
<<| to loop scrub backwards
>>| button to scrub forwards
Hundred millsecond increments.

VISUALLY MARKING
Select 1:1 for a display size which displays the actual waveform.
Move to a begin or end mark.
Left or right mouse click on the waveform at the zero crossing point for the audio.
Move this point as desired to effect the desired edit.
RESETTING THE MARKS
To reset the begin and end marks, click on the 'Reset Marks' button.

SAVING CHANGES
Click on the main menu Save, Save for Distribution sub menu item.
Enter Cart number, Title, Text
Click on the yellow SAVE button
The new audio file will be named, compressed, and saved to the DISTRIBUTE AUDIO folder (C:>DHD>Distribute Audio) In Tools: Library Manager, Network Audio Distribution screen.
OPEN AN EXISTING AUDIO FILE to SAVE & Distribute to the Library.
NOTE: The original file is NOT modified in any way.

Find File
Windows Search opens
Navigate to desired folder
Select file to highlight
Click on Open
Once selected, a copy of the audio file will be decompressed and displayed on the screen for editing.
VOLUME (Speaker symbol)
This button opens the Windows Sound Mixer for controlling the play level when auditioning the file. It does not change the file itself in any way.
