The Library window will display all of the audio files that are in the APEX audio library. This window is useful for adding files to the Playlist, or Hot Keys.
this is your audio library. You may sort and search for audio files from here. And then quickly add these audio files to your playlist, or hot key window.

You may sort your audio Library by various fields.
To sort your audio library:
Click on the Sort button in the Library window.
You may sort by Ascending or Descending order.
You may sort by the following fields:
Cart Number
Title
Text / Artist
Runtime
You may scroll up/down in order to see more of the library audio files.
You may search your audio library for a specific file, or set of files that match criteria. The search function is a multi-search tool, by which you can add multiple criteria to find a specific set of files. To do this:
Click on Library within your Library window.
The default will search all fields. To search by a different field, click on Search.
Select All fields to search all fields. Select a different field to search by the specific criteria. This for example, may be Runtime, by which you can create a search range for length of files.
Enter the desired text in the search window. Results will automatically appear.
Select Clear All to clear the search results.
You may choose a subset of audio files by:
Click on Select in the Library window.
You may then choose to view by cart Types, or a set of Music Categories.
Click on Deselect to view all files again.
The Library window also allows you to add events to the playlist. Click on the Events button to view the events. These event types are (a more detailed description of these events and what they do, can be found in the Tools manual):
Break - this is a manual break event. It will pause the playlist when played, and will wait for the user to start the playlist again.
TBreak - this is a Timed Break. It will cut off what is playing in the playlist at a specified time, and start the next even in the playlist.
FBreak - this is a Floating Break. It is used typically in satellite hours, and will begin either by closure on the Switcher hardware, or manually by the user.
Manual / Assist / Automation - these are manual commands to switch to a different hour type.
Source## (SATELLITE ONLY) - this allows you to switch to a different source channel on the Switcher hardware. It will play for a max of 60 minutes, or until manually stopped.
Music Category - this will play an audio file from a designated music category. These categories are created and managed in the Tools software.
In the Library window, there are various functions available for the user:
PREVIEW - click on the Preview button, and then choose a file from your Library window to send a copy of the file to the Preview Player window. You can now audition the file and listen to it off the air.
FILE INFO - use this button to send the selected file to the File Info screen. First click on File Info and then select the file from the Library window.
ADD TO PLAYLIST - click on this button, and then choose a file from the Library window. This will send the file to be played on your Playlist window.
REFRESH - click on this button to refresh the audio library, and sync with the Directory Manager program.
DISPLAY SETTINGS - these settings will alter the appearance of the Library window. These options are:
Info Font Size - this adjusts the font size for the text of the audio files. The default size is 9. You may make the text font larger or smaller by adjusting this number.
Button Font Size - this adjusts the font size for the buttons in the Library window (examples: Select, Search, File Info, etc). The default is 10.
