The preview player allows you to audition audio files off the air.
you may audition audio files using the Preview Player. This gives you the ability to listen to files off-air, and then quickly add them to your playlist.
You may send audio files from the Playlist, Hot Keys, File Info & Library Window to the Preview Player. The steps are the same for any of those windows:
In either the Playlist, Hot Keys, File Info or Library window, select an audio file to preview.
Click on the Preview button, within the window that you have selected the audio file.
You may skip ahead in time by a certain amount of time. The default amount is 1 second. You may also skip to the end of the audio file. The default would send you to the last 5 seconds, or the beginning of the audio file. These default times can be changed in the Options screen for the Preview Player.
You may also pull the playhead forward & backward to skip around the audio file.
PREVIEW PLAYER - press this button to send the selected file to the Playlist window.
VOLUME ADJUST - you may manually adjust the volume for the file playing on the Preview Player. Simply drag the volume control up for increased volume, and down for lowered volume.
SETTINGS - there are a handful of settings for the Preview Player. The settings that can be adjusted are:
Select Sound Card - use this setting to listen to the previewed file on a particular sound card. Choose from a list of available sound cards that the Windows OS shows as available.
Skip Forward/Backward Time - change these times for different scrubbing times.
Start & End Offset Time - change these times for different start or end times.
DISPLAY METERS - this turns on/off the VU meters for display.
FILE INFO - select to send the file to the File Info screen.
