Arcus on tour

Tein kahden ystäväni kanssa Arcus velomobiililla kesällä 2017 matkan Saksaan. Reittiä saattoi seurata reaaliajassa Ride with GPS -sivuston kautta. Tällä tavalla saksalaiset tuttuni saattoivat tarkasti seurata liikkeitämme ja osua yhtäaikaa samalle paikkakunnalle.

I was with two of my frieds with the Arcus velomobile on tour in Germany from 26th of June to 11th of July 2017. You could follow the trip live from the Ride with GPS -site. This way my German friends could follow us precisely and meet us in a specific place.

Seurasimme ensimmäiset 500 km kuuluisan suomalaisen valokuvaajan, I. K. Inhan pyöränjälkiä. Inha teki 1886 kahden kuukauden pyörämatkan koko Saksan halki aina Sveitsiin saakka. Löysimme vielä muutaman hotellin ja majatalon, joissa hänkin oli matkansa aikana vieraillut.

We are following the first 500 km of the path of the famous Finnish photographer I. K. Inha, who made a two months bicycle trip to Germany in the year 1886! Some restaurants and hostels mentioned in his newspaper articles still exist.
