Sounds of Antarctica

Have you ever imagined what animals would you hear during a trip in Antarctica? Well, here's a list of audios taken in some of the wild landscapes of the antarctic continent.

The mediterranean scrub is one of the loudest places of Antarctica: during spring,  lots of animals are preparing for the breeding season, while others are reaching their nesting site. Crickets chirp all day, while a pack of dusk sheardogs socializes with prolonged howls.

The coldvanna is a harsh place, but far from being inhospitable. Some animals are capable of facing the cold temperatures and guts of winter. The wind noise is only interrupted by the rumbling sound of a brumble.

The mossyforest of the antarctic peninsula is a very humid and hot region: it's thought that it rains 300 days per year. The sound of the rain and thunders is accompanied here by the call of a small herd of forest brontosparrows.
