Professional Development
Intelligent Agents (IA)
An Intelligent Agent (IA) on a Learning Management System (LMS) allows you, as the instructor, to set up automatic notifications to be sent to students (or yourself) when specified course performance criteria are met.
Uses can include:
contacting students who perform well on an assessment, giving them recognition
contacting students who perform poorly on an assessment, providing them with support
TILT Special Topic: Intelligent Agents
Guest speaker Candace Justice introduced us to Intelligent Agents and how they can save you time and increase your classroom personalization.
Prof Justice is an Associate Professor of English and Director of Instructional design at Walters State Community College, Morristown TN. She is also the 2021 SOAR award recipient of the Community College Faculty Member of the Year, presented by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
