Boeing 757-200

24 757 aircraft were inherited from US Airways on April 8, 2015, when a Single Operating Certificate was awarded by the FAA. Legacy American had 68 757 by April 2015. American was in the process of retiring older aircraft and by January 2020 American had 24 retrofitted 757-200 in the fleet. They were configured with 16 lie flat Business class seats. As well as 10 Legacy US Airways 757 still used for flights from PHX to Hawaii. The original plan was to phase out the LUS 757 as more A321NX aircraft joined the fleet. And for the remaining 24 757s to be retired by 2023. However due to the Covid-19 pandemic the 757 fleet retirement was accelerated, and by April 2020 they all were parked permanently.
