On March 4, 2024, American Airlines announced it will retrofit the A319 and A320 fleets with an enhanced cabin featuring more premium seats. The first aircraft to get the retrofit will be the 32 A319s in late 2025, In November 2025 the first aircraft entered service with the latest version. This type is configured 12 First Class 18 Main Cabin Extra and 102 Main Cabin seats. They are equipped with the larger Airbus XL overhead bins, Mood lighting, ViaSat Wi-Fi, and Power at every seat.
