The A320 fleet was inherited from the merger with US Airways in 2015. Currently there are 48 in the fleet with 2 different versions. Version 1 has 12 First Class seats, 18 Main Cabin Extra, and 120 Main Cabin seats All A320s are equipped with ViaSat satellite Wi-Fi and IFE onboard is free to stream on your personal device. 

The legacy USAir fleet is powred by the CFM56-5B3/P engines and are EOW certified. The legacy America West fleet is powered by the IAE V2533-A5 engines. Both types use wing tip fences. 

On March 4, 2024, Amerian Airlines announced it will retrofit the A319 and A320 fleets with an enhanced cabin featuring more premium seats. The first A320 went in for retrofits on March 2, 2026. Please use this link to see all active retrofitted Airbus A320s
