In 2018 American ordered 15 CRJ-900 for PSA Airlines to add to its fleet 54 CRJ-900 making a total of 69 by 2020 and an additional 4 came in 2022 from SAS. PSA began adding more seats to its CRJ-900s.The retrofit project will be completed in Dayton, Ohio. PSA will pull two lines of CRJ 900 NextGen aircraft out of service at a time between mid-August and November 2022 to complete the modification and one line of CRJ-900 Atmosphere aircraft between March and June 2023.The new configuration will have 80 seats instead of 76. However 35 of the aircraft will have one seat blocked
