You will be able to:
Convert between fractions, decimals and percentages
Calculate percentage of a quantity
Work with discount and mark ups
Part 1-
Research the ways to convert between a fraction, decimal and percentage and list examples in a table including the method (include examples of at least 5 common fractions and 3 uncommon ones)
Present this in a powerpoint using referencing, setting it out like you would teach it to someone for the first time
Part 2 -
Create a table listing a euro currencies, same as before this time adding columns for 30%, 25% and 60%
Find 30% of each of the notes and coins and represent your answer in currency form
Find 25% of each, find 60% of each, pick a percentage and find the amount
You are going to have a mid year sale. Using your own created currency from previous lessons and your website/brochure of products available for sale, list each item with a percentage discount (10 discount, 10 mark up) and calculate the final prices
