What is Pharmacogenetic testing?
What is Pharmacogenetic testing?
Pharmacogenetic testing may tell your doctor and pharmacist how genetics effect which medication, and dosage of medication, may work better for you. Based on those results, your doctor can then choose a medication and dose, or avoid medications that may cause side effects.
Who can participate in this research study?

If you are...
18 years old or older
Have had at least 1 trial of anti-depressant or antipsychotic medication for at least 4 weeks
Currently need to change dosage or type of medication
currently a patient at UMN Psychiatry Clinic
You may be eligible to participate!
What will I do in this study?
What will I do in this study?
3 meetings with a pharmacist for MTM, Medication Therapy Management
2 cheek swabs to collect DNA
The research study will take about 6 weeks.
