This study pursues the question of whether deep engagement in creative activities may benefit adolescents with depression symptoms by introducing a more flexible way of thinking, helping adolescents recognize and foster their own creative talents, and (ultimately) developing more positive views of themselves and their futures

If you:
Are between the ages of 12 to 17 years old
Experience symptoms of depression
Participants who enroll will:
Attend a 2-week-long (8 days) Creativity Camp at the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain, where you will do:
Origami
Creative Writing
Design
Outdoor Activities
3D printing
Arts
And more!
Attend research visits before and after the camp, where you will complete interviews, tests, Questionnaires, and MRI brain scan(s)
Participants can earn up to $360 for their time in the study
