Fine Arts are created for expression and beauty rather than practical or functional use.
Performing Arts includes dance, music and drama.
Visual Arts includes graphic arts, photography painting.
Cultural arts can include a variety of visual and performing art forms.
The availability of projects varies by club and county. Please check with your club and county to see what is available and to let them know your interest in a project. If it's not already offered, there may be an adult volunteer willing to start a new project!
Learn about and/or participate in leisure-time activities that enhance the quality of life. These activities include, but are not limited to dance, drama, theatre arts, music, singing, and museum work.
Learn the history and various styles of dance. Leader may wish to specify type of dance that will be taught in the project.
Learn about everything involved with theatre! Members work together to develop a performance including music, dance, acting, stage creation, and scripts.
Learn the art of printmaking and drawing, using either historical or modern techniques.
Learn to play one or various instruments. May include information on writing and reading music.
Learn and explore areas of expression using the body and voice to convey a message in a performance through pitch, diction, dynamics, etc.
Photography is a form of creative expression that communicates, such as for storytelling and documentation. It is also a visual art form and a technology that uses cameras, sensors and software. In this project, learn to use photographic equipment and take and/or develop photographs that shares your message.
