4-H is open to youth ages 5-8 to participate as Primary Members, sometimes referred to as Cloverbuds. Primary projects and activities are based on research on positive youth development practices. Primary Member activities and projects:
Provide open-ended activities that promote skills practice.
Focus on the process of doing things rather than the finished product.
Make use of your experience and encourage exploration, rather than written or verbal lessons.
Participation is limited to cooperative learning activities with no competition.
For members under the age of nine. Project may include basic sampling of other projects.
Primary Members can participate in most 4-H projects unless marked restricted. Participation is limited to cooperative learning activities with no competition.
iSprout is designed to be very flexible and is divided into four sections:

Mindfulness curriculum for Primary ages 5-8.
The program promotes mindful practices that lead to improvements in managing one’s own goals, developing a sense of self, time management, stress management, emotional regulation, and mindful eating practices.
