Camp

4-H Camp builds lasting memories! All 4-H camps are offered through the county 4-H offices. You can enroll in overnight camps or day camps, depending on the county. 4-H teens often have leadership roles as camp counselors.

Supporting Organizations

California 4-H Camping Advisory Committee

This statewide advisory committee provides leadership and develops resources to further training, program development and research in the camping and outdoor education field. Adult volunteers, youth, and camp professionals from within and beyond the 4-H community are welcome to apply to become part of the committee.

American Camp Association

The American Camp Association provides a variety of resources and training in support of camp programs.

Camp Activities with a Science Twist

This book is designed to increase science interest, skills, abilities, and knowledge in a variety of camp programs, including day, resident, and science camps, as well as outdoor education programs. The activities are generally for youth ages nine and older, though some activities target a more specific age range.
