A little about me:

🪻I graduated from UCF with a degree in Elementary Education - Reading, ESOL, and Gifted endorsed. This is my 17th year teaching.

🪻Married with one son named Lincoln (2025 Graduate of VHS, plays baseball at Lake-Sumter State College)

🪻I LOVE boating/fishing, going to the beach, reading books, and baseball!

🪻Favorite things: dark chocolate, chips, Target/Starbucks, Amazon, Miami Dolphins, Boston Red Sox

What We're Learning:

Math - Number Sense and Operations

MA.4.NSO.1.1 Express how the value of a digit in a multi-digit whole number changes if the digit moves one place to the left or right.

MA.4.NSO.1.2 Read and write multi-digit whole numbers from 0 to 1,000,000 using standard form, expanded form and word form.

MA.4.NSO.1.3 Plot, order and compare multi-digit whole numbers up to 1,000,000.

MA.4.NSO.1.4 Round whole numbers from 0 to 10,000 to the nearest 10, 100 or 1,000

Science - Nature of Science

SC.4.N.1.1 Raise questions about the natural world, use appropriate reference materials that support understanding to obtain information (identifying the source), conduct both individual and team investigations through free exploration and systematic investigations, and generate appropriate explanations based on those explorations.

SC.4.N.1.2 Compare the observations made by different groups using multiple tools and seek reasons to explain the differences across groups.

SC.4.N.1.3 Explain that science does not always follow a rigidly defined method ("the scientific method")

SC.4.N.1.4 Attempt reasonable answers to scientific questions and cite evidence in support.

SC.4.N.2.1 Explain that science focuses solely on the natural world.
