                                 Hopefully, you all are enjoying this cooler weather. I am loving it!

                                 The book fair is this week. I will set a time aside for those who have brought money, or have money on an e-wallet to go. They will be permitted to go once a day. Anything other than books will need to go to their backpack. I do not allow students to share their money.

                                 Conferences are in full swing. I am enjoying meeting with you.  If you have not returned the sign-up sheet, please do so. If you are unable to keep your scheduled time, please email me, or call the school.

                                In math, we will finish up our review of creating equivalent fractions via multiplication and division, comparing and ordering fractions using a number line. The studdents will be retested on the material on Thursday. Homework (Q2.3) will be sent home on Monday. Multiplying by 11 will be the focus of the fact practice this week. If your child is struggling with their facts, below is a list of websites that can help them.

                                 In science, we will continue with our chapter on rocks and minerals. The children will be expected to know the three types of rocks and their properties. They will also need to know what a mineral is and its properties, as well as, the difference between erosion and weathering. A vocabulary quiz is scheduled for Wednesday. They will be working on an in class project for this chapter which will count as an assessment grade.
