Welcome back to school. I cannot wait to meet all of you. It's going to be a Rockin' Great Year! 

     My name is Mrs. Zentko, and I will be your ELA/Social Studies teacher. Ms. Pendragon is our partner teacher. She teaches Math and Science. We both have some fun and exciting activities to help you grow and set you up for a successful school year. 

There will be a Word Application quiz approximately every other week. Students will have the word list glued into their agendas for the week they are being tested on. Please check my calendar for all upcoming tests. You can click on the link for the word list. Students will complete a Word Application practice page in the classroom, but they should also study at home, as well, in preparation for the the quiz. Additionally, students should be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes as part of their daily homework assignment. Daily reading promotes reading comprehension, improved vocabulary, and fluency. 

Please sign and return the red "Monday Folder" weekly. This is where Ms. Pendragon and I will communicate weekly behavior updates and any papers that may need your attention. 

Music Requirement:

Recorder & supplies purchased through VCS $10.00 

(order form for purchase will be available at Orientation - includes 2 recorders and instrument supplies for the school year)
