Generally regarded as one of the best all around athletes in school history, Mr. Patton played at a time when Trimble was not affiliated with a conference, therefore limiting his ability to receive post-season recognition. At the time of his graduation, Mr. Patton held the school record for most passing yards in a season, career, as well as the most passing touchdowns in a season and in a career. He was the starting Quarterback on the 1974 football team that finished 8-1-1.
