Coach Blosser was hired as the athletics coach at Glouster High School in 1932 which entailed coaching Football, Basketball and Baseball. During Coach Blosser's tenure, Glouster athletics grew and became recognized as an athletic power in southeastern Ohio, winning championships in the Big Six Conference (later renamed the Muskingum Valley League).
Coach Blosser departed Glouster in 1935 for Columbus South High School, then served in the United States Navy combat role in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Coach Blosser returned to his college alma mater, Ohio University and served as an assistant football, wrestling and basketball coach. In 1947 he became the first golf coach in Ohio University History.
Coach Blosser was inducted into the Ohio University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1966, the NCAA Golf Coaches Hall of Fame in 1980, the Mid American Conference Hall of Fame in 1988, and in 2006 Ohio University's Athletic Hall of Fame was renamed "Kermit Blosser Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame"
