During the 1964-1965 school year the MVL refused to name Glouster players to the MVL football team because the Tomcats were leaving the conference, however, in basketball Mr. McDonald was named to the All MVL squad which is a testament to his ability. Mr. McDonald was named the MVP of the Athens County league his senior season.
