At the time Mr. Guinther played, the main focus of statistics in football was points scored, and he led Southeastern Ohio in that category in 1968. Mr. Guinther was the feature back of two MOVC Championship football teams. In the very first Trimble-Nelsonville-York rivalry game, Mr. Guinther intercepted three passes, returning one for a touchdown and scored another rushing touchdown in the 20-0 victory.
