What are we doing here?

Our key objective is to build the self-reporting habit within our talent pool to measure impact and ensure sustained progress. By encouraging regular career updates and cultivating a culture of self-reporting, we aim to move beyond trend-driven placements and establish a comprehensive understanding of the long-term impact of our programs.


How will we do it?

The aim of this movement is to shift paradigms around self-reporting whereby we pull users to self-report as opposed to pushing them to self-report. 

We plan on doing this through the following:

Roots of Storytelling
Our grounding philosophy is, 'I am because you are.'"In line with this philosophy, we encourage our fellows to find their place in the world and, in doing so, inspire others to do the same.

By shifting the focus from entitlement to empowerment, we find ways for our fellows to realise their potential, while also contributing to the collective growth of the African continent. In doing so, we help rewrite the narrative of the African continent. For every placement we facilitate, a sponsored ALX program becomes available to another young African, ensuring that opportunities are extended to all. Every tech placement is contributing to positioning Africa as a key player in the tech space.

Our tagline, #FindYourPlace, encourages Fellows and Learners to figure out where they fit in the world, to inspire others on their journey of self-discovery, and to celebrate their collective career successes. It is a fun and empowering call to action that encourages Fellows and Learners to discover their place in the world, inspire others on their journey, and celebrate their career successes. Through this tagline, we aim to create a sense of community, where individuals support and uplift each other in their quest to find their place.

Find Your Place: Our messaging focuses on the importance of finding one's place in the world and celebrating personal career achievements. We want individuals to embrace their unique paths and recognize the value of their contributions.

Inspire Others: We encourage sharing success stories and supporting others on their journeys. By inspiring and empowering each other, we create a movement of individuals finding their place and making a positive impact.
