Final blog of the year

As we all head our separate ways for the summer, some of us to return, others to move on to the next chapter in their lives, let's take a few moments to look back on the short, intensive week that has led up to this moment.

School's out for summer, as the song goes. Our Year 6 students had this to say about their Dance Party last Thursday:

  • “It was completely different! The disco was great and we had our own DJ. The music was so loud you had to shout! I liked the photos because they’ll give me lots of happy memories.” – Ali (6.07)

  • “It was really fun and it was a great way for us to celebrate the end of juniors! The food was great too!” – Celine (6.04)

  • “The Year 6 party was really enjoyable – especially the DJ. I really liked all the music he played. He knew what we liked!” – Amy (6.04)

  • “It was a fun night as no-one was sad and everyone was enjoying themselves and having a good time. We should do it again next year!” – Atharv (6.04)

  • “I liked the theme – Hollywood – as it was very unusual. The DJ was spot-on too because he played really good songs – our type of songs! – Faisal (6.03)

  • “It was a fun evening because everyone had a lot of energy and we were singing along to all the songs. It will be a great event for next year’s Year 5s. The Dilmun Club was very interesting too.” – Fahd (6.08)

A thousand thanks to the marvellous team of supermums who organised the event and made it so special. We shall all remember that evening for years to come.

Thanks to Mrs Hassett for all her super photos this year. Here are some photos from today's Leavers' Assembly. Here is the video : part 1 and part 2.

Junior Sports Awards

Check out the sports blog for coverage of the first annual Junior Sports Awards ceremony.

Creative Writers visit Nursery

On Tuesday, the Creative Writing club went on the move! Mrs Edwards and seven Year 6 students took their craft to Nursery 5, regaling the Infant children with stories that they had written, and in some cases, illustrated. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Creative Writing club members to share their writing with an eager audience. We found out what was hiding under Noah's bed, looked closely at the importance of friendship and learned valuable life lessons. A great way to end the year! Here is a photo album of the morning.

Migrant Workers Box Collection

Mrs Edwards and her team of helpers handed over the boxes, containing donated items, to the MWPS this week. Here is a thank-you letter we received from the charity.

Have a wonderful summer. If you are moving on, please stay in touch. If you are returning, see you in August.

Protecting the future

On Monday, Eco-Rangers had an exciting day visiting Durrat to see the deployment of artificial reefs that we have sponsored. We have been raising money for Reef Arabia, who make and deploy the reefs, for a few years now. The artificial reef balls quickly become populated by marine life, once they are submerged. This is a real investment in the future, and in conservation of sea creatures. Here is a Google photo album of the morning's events.

The day started with a visit at school from the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Mr Simon Martin CMG, Mrs Sophie Martin and Miss Lydia Martin. We had chance to discuss ocean life and the artificial reefs. The Eco Rangers then travelled down to Durrat where we watched, under shade, the reefs being deployed into the sea. Using an underwater camera, we also looked at reefs already in place and the ocean life that they have encouraged in Bahrain. We were also joined by Khalid Busmait, the CEO of Durrat Resort Management.

Here's what some of the Eco Rangers had to say:

"I enjoyed looking at the marine life and spotting the different fish and the different types of artificial reefs. I liked when the diver showed us the living things under the water such as seagrass, sea sponge and crabs." Aden, 6.09

"I enjoyed looking at the fishes and how the artifical reefs are made." Aseem, 6.07

"I enjoyed seeing all of the fish and all the coral that we raised money for. I enjoyed see all the creatures that lived inside of the artificial reefs." Alfie, 4.10

"I've had a really amazing and wonderful day. I've got to see all these new creatures that look so cool!" Eva, 3.05

A Celebration of French

This week's assembly was a French spectacular, featuring a virtual tour of Paris, guided by a group of our learners of French. At the assembly, I learned the French word for a rainbow, which I don't remember learning when I last studied French, forty years ago. We were entertained by super-confident mime artists. There were songs with French words that we could all join in and sing along. I enjoyed the song about the weather. We are all so very, very fortunate to have the chance to learn multiple languages at school. Here is a Google photo album of pictures taken at the assembly.

In other news this week:

  • Clubs have now ended for this term. An exciting new season of clubs will launch in the autumn - more details to follow in early September.

Looking ahead: Transition Morning

On Thursday 27 June, we plan to have Transition Morning, from 0800 for the first two hours of the day. During that period, students will spend time in the area of the school they'll be in next term. They will get to know the routines of their new year group and preview some of their future learning. Students who are leaving BSB at the end of this term will still take part in the Transition Morning, because the learning they will undertake in their new schools may well be very similar to ours.

We look forward to welcoming our Year 2 students into Year 3 on Transition Morning. Here is a letter from the Year 3 team about our plans for the morning, to help our incoming, future juniors know what to expect.

Aspiring Authors

If you'd like to get the autograph of a published author, you need look no further than the following BSB Junior students: Zayan, Hajar, Ella, Waseela, Nirvan, Sophia, Mason, Seo Yeon and Rania. I'm sure you remember that I wrote in my blog post, on 22 November 2018, about the Spooky Sagas writing competition. All the named students entered, and their stories were accepted for publication. Well done, all of you - I'll be careful not to read your stories when I'm at home alone, or I might get nightmares. Here is the front cover of the book, and the young authors themselves. It is a great accomplishment to see your name in print and we are proud of all of our students who sent in a short story. Keep up the great work! Feel free to look in our Junior library for a copy of Spooky Sagas - prepare to be scared.

Year 3 Roman Day

Friends, Romans, countrymen: lend me your ears. Today, Ancient Rome was re-created in the Year 3 corridor and classrooms. Emperors, centurions, chefs, soldiers, slaves and all manner of characters proudly showed off their exhibits at their special Roman Museum. There was much to learn and even some delicious, authentic Roman foods to try, with recipe cards to take home. What a super, immersive experience for children and adults alike, bringing learning to life in so many ways. Thank you to everyone who made the day possible, by creating the wonderful museum exhibits, costumes and dishes. Here is a Google photo album of the day.

Sports Awards

On Monday 1 July at 2pm we plan to hold our end-of-year Sports Awards Presentation, to honour junior students who have committed themselves to sports teams throughout the year and have represented their school. Parents whose children are to receive awards will be sent an invitation by email, next week, from the PE department.

Ice Creams & Books

Eager readers had a special treat in the library after school on Monday this week to celebrate the thousands and thousands of words they had read - the totals were verified by the Accelerated Reader website. Each time a student finished a book, they registered it on Accelerated Reader and answered a quiz to prove they really had read all the way to the end. Ms Kadijha organised an ice cream afternoon for those who'd read the most words. Well done, and please keep on reading! There is no better way to improve your English - including your writing - than by reading every day. As well as reading to yourself, try to find time to read to someone else. Studies have shown that children who regularly have stories read to them become better at language skills as they grow up.

Other news in brief

  • Leavers' Assembly will take place on Wed 3 July, the last day of term, at 11:00am

  • Reports are scheduled to be available on the portal at mis.thebsbh.com on Sun 30 June

Scientific Success

This week's Science Fair presentations in Years 3 and 4 were the scenes of much hypothesising, predicting, concluding, and skilful, entertaining public speaking. The children declared their findings with confidence and verve, putting their parents and teachers on the spot, with well-targeted questions to check how attentively we adults had been listening. "But you gave us too much information," remarked one mum, smiling. Parents who gave correct answers took home commemorative stickers as a memento of the day. Many thanks to all who found time to attend the fairs. Here is a Google photo album.

Charity Cookie Sale

Ryle in Class 6.09 and his mum organised a Cookie Sale this week in aid of the Migrant Workers Protection Society, a BSB-approved charity. They sold hundreds of cookies during each of the three first breaks of the day, raising BD259. It was wonderful to see all the students queuing so politely and patiently, awaiting their turn to buy a cookie. Greedy Mr Howe bought two (although I did wait until everyone else had a turn before buying a second one).

A huge THANK YOU to the PCC and everyone who contributed...

...to the terrific Staff Appreciation Day today. There was endless, delicious food for teachers and all school staff, and a lovely atmosphere of value and support, throughout the day. Parents appeared at perfect moments, when staff were at their hungriest, with trays of delectable delicacies and invigorating victuals. As well as the fantastic food, the heart-warming messages of support on the appreciation boards were enlivening to read. It was a really special day and meant a great deal to us all. Heartfelt thanks to all our parents who help us in so many, many ways, to do the most wonderful job in the world - educating the adults of the future.

Year 3 Roman Day next week - message from Mrs Drennan

In Year 3 we are currently learning about the Ancient Romans and Celts.

On Thursday 20th June we will host an Ancient Roman Day in order to celebrate some fantastic learning. For this, the children will be dressing as Romans or Celts themselves! Year 3 parents, please would you prepare an appropriate Roman or Celt costume? Sandals or flip flops can be worn on their feet.

Year 3 parents are welcome to take photos between 8-8.30am in your child’s form room.

The entire day will be a fun learning experience and full of Roman-related activities. We will also be having a Roman Feast. For this, we are asking that each member of the class takes responsibility for a particular food group and that each child brings sufficient food for about 6 other children.

Individual emails have been sent, containing requests for various foods for the Roman Feast - thank you in anticipation.

A new feature for Roman Day this year is our Roman Day Museum which will take place at 1pm where we would like to invite parents to come in to see the children’s work in our classrooms and then move across to the Sports Hall at 2pm, where we will have all of the children gathered together for a fabulous photo opportunity and some sing songs.

We look forward to a fabulous day!

Serious fun

Today's assembly featured a performance from Class 3.08, all about Serious Fun. You can see the talent and enthusiasm of the performers in the video, and in the photos in this Google album. It was a rousing show that set everyone's feet a-tapping.

In other news this week...

  • Fun Day on Sunday 30 June is now confirmed as going ahead. Year 3 will have fun in school and will go on a cinema trip. Years 4, 5 and 6 will visit Lost Paradise of Dilmun water park. If you are in Y4, Y5 or Y6 and still have not brought in your LPoD money and slip, please do so on Sunday. Don't miss out.

  • School Reports for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are scheduled to be available to parents via the portal at mis.thebsbh.com on Sunday 30 June. No report will be ready before that date.

  • Teaching and learning go on until the end of term - I was lucky enough to teach a Y6 Maths group for part of this week and I was amazed by the standard they have reached. We shall keep on stretching and challenging ourselves in all subjects, right up to the finish line, and then we shall all enjoy a well-earned summer break.

Maths Activity Week - report from Mr Drennan

The Juniors have been having a very mathematical time this week On Monday, the Year 5 and Year 6 students set off for City Centre to take part in an exciting Maths Trail. Working in teams of 5, they navigated the mall, using their map-reading skills and searching for maths challenges which they then attempted to complete. They found a wide variety of problems to solve, from calculating the foreign currency exchange rates to working out the percentage of Nike trainers on display in Foot Locker! Everyone had great fun collaborating to answer the questions and recognising that we encounter Maths in our daily lives.

Throughout the week, all students were also involved in numerical challenges. Everyone had the chance to estimate the number of items in a jar - there were 119 and we had several accurate estimators who won 119 small prizes each! There was also a competition to produce the most creative mathematical picture or video and upload it to Google Classroom. We had some gymnasts spinning anything from 360 to 1440 degrees! There were students following complicated sequences of instructions and calculating fractions. Well done, everyone!

On Thursday, students came to school wearing numerical clothes and brought Maths Week to a conclusion with a fun-filled, mathematical treasure hunt. Working in groups led by Year 6 captains, they moved around the school, following clues and working together to solve a variety of mathematical challenges. With 44 groups of children attending 44 separate stations, it was certainly an energetic way to end the week. Here are some photos of the day - and here are some more.

“I loved the Maths trip! The best part was searching for the clues and then using our Maths skills to solve them ” – Ryle (6.09)

"Maths Day was so much fun!" - Charlotte (3.04)

‘It was exciting and educational, getting to see maths come to life!” - Nirvan (6.04)

‘I wish we could do it again - if only we had more time to get all the answers!” - Yousif (6.04)

“It was really good fun following clues, solving riddles and maths problems, which were pretty hard but we managed to solve as a group working together.” - Omar (5.08)

“I liked the part when we had to work out the price for treats in the cinema!” - Sofya (5.08)

“ It was a fun day because we could work with our friends in City Centre. We managed to solve all of our problems. They weren’t easy but they weren’t too difficult either!” - Tibor (6.07)

“It was really fun - having the chance to spend time working with our friends trying to find the answer to the questions. Our favourite activity was finding the distance from cashier 15 to Citibank ATM - 62 metres!” - Eylul (6.07)

It was a fun day. I’d really recommend it. It was great to work with Year 5 and 6! Musa (4.04)

"I loved Maths Day - can we have it every week?" -Jana (3.04)

"It was really fun. I really enjoyed meeting new teachers and learning in different classrooms!" - Ella (4.04)

"I liked Maths Day because I went to so many new places and did new activities that I really enjoyed." -Basma (3.01)

It was an exercise for my brain! Different games and using different types of Maths has been so much fun!” Tala (5.09)

"Maths Day is one of the best days in school!" -Joori (3.01)

“Maths week has been really fun. My favourite activity this week was the Maths Trail at City Centre; It was so satisfying to solve the tricky clues!” Luca (5.09)

"I liked Maths Day because we played lots of different Maths games." -Souhil (3.01)

The Giving Tree

Class 3.05 reminded us how important it is to be generous and kind, through their assembly performance this afternoon. If we think of others, we soon find that others think of us too. Happiness really is, as the song goes, just like a magic penny - happiness bounces back and multiplies when you spread it around. Here is a photo album of the assembly performance - my thanks to Mrs Hassett for the photos in the album, and to Mr Humphreys for the photos of this week's certificate winners, below.

In other news this week...

  • Break times - the weather is too hot now to be running around outdoors. There will be no more football at break times on the field this term. Break times should be spent calmly, either in the outdoor shaded areas or in the canteen, which has enough tables and seats for everyone during each break. The fasting rooms will continue to be available at breaks until the Eid holiday begins.

  • Fun Day 30 June - Years 4, 5 and 6, please be sure to bring in your LPoD money on Sunday morning, if you have not already brought it. Please also be sure to fill in the Google form if you have not already. If you have already filled in the Google form, there is no need to do it again. Thank you for supporting our trips. Although the weather will be hot for the LPoD trip, the children are in the water most of the time, which keeps them much cooler, and they have lunch in an air conditioned indoor area. It's important that children wear water-resistant sun screen.

  • Accelerated Reader - Please keep on reading books and doing your AR quizzes online. However, Renaissance (the providers of AR) have asked us to stop using the old AR app, and use the web version instead, via a browser. Go to https://hosted23.renlearn.com/711559/ to log in. If you still have the old AR app, please delete it from your device and use the web address instead. Many thanks. More information from Renaissance can be found here.

End of Year Trip and Fun Day: Sunday 30 June

We are planning our end-of-year trip and fun day, to take place in the final week of the school year, on Sunday 30 June. Years 4, 5 and 6 hope to visit Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park. Year 3 are looking forward to fun activities in school, and a cinema visit, on the same day. The arrangements depend on whether the LPoD trip for Years 4, 5 and 6 goes ahead. So far, we have just under half the Yes responses we need to make the trip viable; however, the parents of some 300 students in Years 4, 5 and 6 have yet to respond to the Google form . If you are the parent of a student in Year 4, 5 or 6 and you have not yet responded, please would you do so as soon as possible? For Year 3 parents, Mrs Drennan will be sending you information about the Fun Day as soon as it is available.

Library Literacy

Ms Kadijha reports that the new Junior Library layout is working really well. The space feels much more open and airy since the shelves were rearranged last month. Children have been reading more and more books since the changes. Reading for pleasure is a wonderful pastime - as well as having great fun, you can learn a great deal, and improve your writing skills at the same time.

Year 4 Introduction to Cycle Testing

In preparation for their transition to Year 5, the current Year 4 students will be doing practice cycle tests over the coming weeks. Cycle testing helps children put special focus on one area of learning at a time, on a rota basis. Mr Ibn-Tahaikt, Head of Year 4, has sent out details to Year 4 parents. The cycle begins next week, with an Arabic test; then an English test in the week beginning 2 June. There won't be a cycle test in the week beginning 9 June. There will be a Science test in the week beginning 16 June, and the practice cycle will be completed by a Maths test in the week beginning 23 June. The cycle tests are not end-of-year exams. Children should aim to do their best, but should not be worried or stressed by cycle testing.

Today's assembly: Agents of Change

Class 3.07 taught us ways to make the world a better place this afternoon, through their splendid performance, which you can see in the video. Through the theme of Everyday Superheroes, they showed us how to shake off the negatives and be a positive person; make the right choices, and be the change that you want to see in the world. My thanks to Mrs Hassett and Ms Mohi for taking pictures of the assembly, which have been placed in this Google photo album.

Looking ahead - Science Fair for Years 3 and 4

Ms Mann reports that the children have been working diligently in preparation for the Science Fair and are looking forward to present their findings to parents. This will take place on Tuesday 11th June for Year 4 and Wednesday 12th June for Year 3. Please see the timetable below for timings and locations:

In other news this week:

  • Afternoon pick-up: please remember that no junior student is allowed to be on site without supervision at the end of the school day - each child must be collected from their teacher by a parent, carer or senior sibling. Once collected, junior children must stay with the person who has collected them until leaving the site.

  • Lost property: there has been an improvement in students making sure they take their property with them when moving around the school - well done, everyone! Let's keep it up and aim for zero property getting lost.

This week's news in brief

  • Clubs are well under way this term - Ramadan club time is 1:55-2:55pm; thanks for collecting children promptly after clubs.

  • Maths Week is scheduled for 26-30 May - check out the Google Classroom page, code vxb7s4k

  • The Y3/4 Science Fair is scheduled for 11-12 June.

  • The school year ends on 3 July; teaching and learning go on until then.

  • End-of-year reports are scheduled to be available on 30 June. No report will be ready before that date.

Design Technology Competition

Judging the DT competition in Years 5 and 6 was a very pleasantly tough job. The standard was excellent. The students are so amazingly creative and dexterous. Year 5's theme was Kinetic Art - they had to make models with moving parts. The winning entry is a model of the solar system - the planets orbit the sun. Year 6's theme was Upcycling - putting junk to creative use. I like the realistic lava flow. Scroll down for photos of the prize-winning groups.

Respect!

Full respect to Class 3.10 for today's assembly performance. They delivered a clear message to us all, about the importance of respecting those around us. When the character of Mr Rude came onto the stage, putting his tongue out, saying unkind things about people's appearance, and being generally horrible to everyone, we all agreed that he needed to change his attitude. Like all good stories, the show ended happily, with Mr Rude mending his impolite ways and learning to get on happily with those around him. I'm glad that none of the students is really like Mr Rude. Here is a Google photo album of today's assembly.

Ramadan Mubarak

Since the Holy Month of Ramadan began this week, we have been getting used to our slightly different timetable and it is working very well. All three parts of the school are running special charity events to help those less fortunate than ourselves at this special time of year - there is more information below. Best wishes for Ramadan to the whole BSB community, from all of us here in the junior school.

Boxes of Joy

Message from the Junior Charity Committee

In keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the BSB Charity Committee has decided to run a month-long donation drive. Form teachers will coordinate with their students to bring in items for a donation box full of everyday practical and food items, which will be presented to the Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS). The MWPS collects donations to help alleviate some of the challenges faced by migrant workers. We are looking forward to once again supporting the MWPS in this process.

The drive will start on Sunday 12th May. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in making this charity drive a success.

Swimming Competition at St Christopher's School

BSB students took to the water at St Christopher's School last Saturday and did us all proud. Don't miss Ms Gray's report on the BSB Sports Blog.

DELF exam - report from Mme Charlotte

After being trained during the DELF club, Year 6 pupils, Sara, Waseela, Hriday, Aryan, Zaid and Ayaan were ready to do their first DELF exam last Saturday at the Alliance Francaise of Bahrain. The evaluation was based on the writing, reading, listening and speaking' competencies of A1 level.

We wish them all the best and we will be waiting eagerly for their results.

Bonne chance! Here is a Google photo album from DELF exam day.

Holding on to your property

I lost my hat at break time yesterday. It didn't stay lost for long, though, because as soon as I realised I did not have it, I re-traced my steps and went back to all the places I had been. I soon found my hat in the canteen lost property area. If we can all do that, we can reduce the amount of lost property we have to store at school, and our parents don't have to keep buying new hats, PE jackets, water bottles etc. Names should be on all property. However, if we lose something, it's our own responsibility to go and find it, not wait for someone else to bring it back to us.

Brain-friendly break times

As the weather gets hotter, many students find ways of having fun at break time without running around and overheating. Cubes and similar puzzles are often seen around the playground and the canteen. Board games such as chess are also popular at break times. Drawing is a really good leisure pastime too.

Friends Forever

Class 3.02 showed us all how friendship works in today's junior assembly. Here is a video of their performance, and a Google photo album of the assembly.

Slow Art Day

What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?

--William Henry Davies

Great works of art, generally, take time to create. It also takes time to absorb the beauty, depth and content of a work of art. That's why, each year, we devote a day of teaching and learning to art - appreciating great art, and creating works of our own. Today, students in Years 3 to 6 spent time looking, long and hard, at works of art, and were amazed at the things they began to notice after a few minutes of quiet, focused viewing. Here is a Google photo album of some of the day's work.

The children had this to say about Slow Art Day:

  • “Slow Art Day was something we all enjoyed – especially me because I like Art! My favourite activity was looking at all different types of artwork and then drawing them.” – Marko (5.02)

  • “I liked learning new Art techniques and looking at all types of excellent Art. I most enjoyed the Picture Prompt as we had to create a completely new drawing from another painting.” – Carlos (6.09)

  • “l thought Slow Art Day was fun because it meant we could spend the whole day doing Art and not just doing it once a week. I most enjoyed the Mindful Colouring activity because you really had to use your imagination, but you had to be accurate too.” – Salome (6.07)

  • “It was great fun because we got the chance to experience all sorts of new and interesting types of Art. My favourite activity was definitely Reach for the Stars. I like rainbows and I was able to use a rainbow pattern in my hand design.” – Aiza (5.03)

COBIS Art Competition

Congratulations to Adrienne in Class 4.09, who received her certificate today as runner-up in the world-wide COBIS Art Competition. Here are photos of Adrienne with the other BSB competition entrants, and of Adrienne's award-winning piece of art work.

Showcase Performances

On Tuesday afternoon, junior students who have been rehearsing at break times with Mrs Carter performed together in the Multi Purpose Hall, before an audience of their parents and many of their classmates. My thanks to Mr Carter, who captured the whole event on video and has kindly presented us with an edited version which you can view.

Below are two videos from this afternoon's junior assembly, at which Year 5 instrumentalists showed off their skills. The performances proved that the young musicians had put in many hours of practice and reached a commendable standard. Here are more photos from the assembly.

United World Schools update

We are delighted to share the latest information, received this morning, from Wein Wa, the BSB's very own United World Schools charity venture. It is worth remembering that, but for the generosity and dedicated fund-raising of the BSB community, this super little village school would not exist, and the local children would have no access to education. Thanks to everyone who contributed, many lives have been and will be improved, by allowing young people who live in a remote area to take the first steps on the educational ladder, and have a real chance to break the cycle of rural poverty.

The Holy Month of Ramadan

Ramadan is expected to begin next week, the exact day to be announced by the authorities at the time. As per Mr Smith's recent communication, the school day will be shortened for Ramadan. Students in Years 3 to 6 will finish lessons at 1:50pm and will be ready for collection at 1:55pm each afternoon. The usual lessons will be taught, on the usual days, in the usual sequence. Each lesson will be shortened by a few minutes. Clubs during Ramadan will run from 1:55pm until 2:55pm. The shortened timetable will come into effect on the first school day of fasting. There will be no change to the start of the day, which remains at 7:45am for registration.

Please notify your child's class/form teacher if your child will be fasting while at school. Please note that all curriculum lessons will continue throughout Ramadan. During PE lessons, teachers will monitor fasting students carefully and will adjust activities according to need. At break times, fasting students may stay in designated classrooms, supervised by staff throughout the break.

The school canteen will continue to operate throughout Ramadan, to cater for students who are not fasting.

During Ramadan, please do not send cakes or food into school for birthdays or other festivals or celebrations.

We wish everyone Ramadan Kareem at this special time of year.

In other news...

  • End-of-year reports for Years 3 to 6 are scheduled to be available via the portal at mis.thebsbh.com on Sunday 30 June. No report will be released before that date.

  • Term 3 clubs begin on Sunday 5 May and end on Thursday 27 June. The usual club time is 3:00-4:00pm. During Ramadan, club time is 1:55-2:55pm. Please arrange to collect children promptly at the end of club time.

  • Boys' ties need not be worn from Sunday 5 May onwards. Instead, boys should wear their school shirt with the top button unfastened, and shirt tails neatly tucked into their waistband. Boys who wish to continue to wear their ties should do so smartly, with the knot touching the top button of the shirt.
