The BEAP program is an extremely sophisticated and helpful program. BEAP teaches students everything from how to train and how to act as a student athlete. It gives you a new look and perspective on life as an athlete. When I first became a member of this esteemed program, I never really understood my role as a student athlete. I came in as a kid who did not know how to lead a healthy life or how to train or even how to balance sports and academics. I came in as a lost individual but this program helped me find what I needed to know. BEAP has taught me that as an athlete I hold a great amount of responsibility and I have to watch how I behave and act. BEAP has helped me grow and develop a new outlook on life and has helped me gain perspective on how I can achieve my goals.
When it comes to achieving my goals, BEAP has given me a platform that will help me ultimately get to my desired destination. It has given me a lot of choice and the teachers in this program have taught me a lot. This program will teach you how to create training videos and how to attract the eyes of people. BEAP will teach you how to lead a healthy life and how to train properly as an athlete. These fundamental teachings set a foundation in your learning to becoming a better athlete. Since entering this program, I have been able to overcome physical challenges and learn how to properly treat my body and it has in turn made me a better baseball player.
My high school experience has been great and BEAP has added a tremendous scope to that experience. When I was in grade 9, I was new and knew no one. However, BEAP made me feel like I belonged. You develop a special bond with the people in BEAP, especially the athletes you train with for a whole semester. Some of my closest friends are the people I met in my first BEAP class. Also, BEAP gives you a look at people from many different sports and it shows you how diverse the athletic communities are. We have people who do gymnastics, skiing, sailing, baseball, dancers, Brazilian Jiu jitsu etc. I myself am a baseball player and third-degree black belt in karate. BEAP has had a huge impact on me I am and will always be proud to say I am a BEAP athlete.
