Cycle 5 (Lesson 1 - God Makes the World)

Topic: God Makes the World

Goal: Students will acknowledge the fact that God made the world beautiful.

APK:

• Bring a flower, show them to the students! “Have you taken the time to stop and smell the roses? That is God’s beauty!” 

• Let the students smell and touch the flowers, so that they can enjoy and delight in God’s beauty

New Information:

• Open kid’s Bible and read Genesis 1:1-19 to students and explain to them how God created everything GOOD!

• Bring pictures or objects that God created (ex: animal toys, flowers, food, water…), each student will take a picture and paste it in the board and repeat “it is good”, since everything God created is good.

• Display VA 1A God Makes the World and do hand motion recite based on the display.

Application: 

CENTERS:

• Land - Clay and sand table with cookie cutters, trees, leaves, and rocks.

• Sea - Water, cups, dropper, seashells, andfish.

• Sun, Moon, and Stars - stickers, bedtime stories, pajamas, pillows, and blankets.

• Animals - Pictures, stickers, animal dolls, stuffed animals, and books about animals
